We - The Enchantry - Publicly offer spots in our first ever privately invited class. Only taking a max of five individuals, we urge those interested in learning magic send in a letter! You, who may or may not already be a mage, are invited to send a letter to the Enchantry Aviary to offer WHY we should take you into our first ever class. Those who are selected will be brought into the guild as full fledged Acolytes and will begin their lectures on set dates and are expected to follow set expectations - those who fail to do such will be dropped from the class.

[!] A letter is sent in abnormally fast, the handwriting being decent but not the best, probably done in a rush upon hearing the student cap.

"Dear Sarrion.

Please teach me thank you.
You should teach me because alike many mages I wish to expand my knowledge and enhance my capabilities in the arcane arts.

Also magic is cool and no one will trust me with sensory illusion or arcanism apparently.

From, that one guy Samuel. Also my arm needs recharging"

[!] A letter is sent in via a plain black raven in an unmarked envelope, inside the envelope is a smaller one labeled

"To those at the Enchantry involved in the selection of new students.

From Axel Swale"

[!] Inside the second envelope is neatly written letter

"Dear those at the Enchantry,

The study of magic is something that was of little concern in my earlier life as a farmer and a business man in Belvitz. My absence of concern over magic was not rooted in a love of ignorance but in a lack of exposure to magic itself. In my early life I had be so far removed from civilization I had never seen magic and never thought what the result of it's existence must mean. When I finally traveled outside the small farmstead by Marna I once called home I began to question the things I was told were 'truths' when I encountered magic. With the existence of magic my small world expanded, I lost my faith in the creator and begin to read slightly into the void to expand my knowledge. Soon after I came into a chance encounter with the enchantry's Arch-mage, Sarrion. I mention all of this because my conversation with Sarrion changed my perspective even further. He told me of the latent mana in all things which allows transmutation and thus the world's creation must be magical in nature. Sarrion then let me read from his personal library. This realization that through the study of magic one can understand the world around them caught my awe.  From there I began to become an avid reader from the Dragur library on subjects of magic and planned on learning magic and eventually joining the Enchantry to study alongside Sarrion and other scholars. I read many of the Arch-mage's own published books on Telekinesis and Transmutation.

This span of reading and self study lasted a few years until I found a magic teacher able to teach me Telekinesis, the idea being that afterwords I could join the Enchantry and begin to search for an independent transmutation teacher. I studied with my teacher (Carsandra IvyDale) and connected to the void on many occasions, my progress was looking promising. A year later out of the blue I was abandoned by my teacher and left without a mentor. I have stagnated my abilities without a mentor and wish to continue my path to understand the world, and it's creation more and report my newfound knowledge.

Why I believe you should accept me, a valah as one of your acolytes as opposed to a longer lived race is my spirit. I am studious and willing to learn all I can from books, only needing lectures to supplement what the books leave out. This however does not mean I plan to miss any lecture. I understand my youth, at twenty-seven I am adolescent compared to most at the Enchantry and in my daily experience with elves I remain humble and aware of my lack of experience and knowledge that comes from over the years. I am hard working. I will not skip out for practice, though from my previous teachings I have a decent idea of my limits and know how to stay safe. Though I have left my faith of the creator I still believe myself to be quite a moral man. I have nothing against any race and don't believe in the act of murder, I value honesty and keeping a level head, in many cases I have managed to be polite at those hurling insults at me. I have studied Elven culture especially that of the Mali'aheral and though I lack knowledge in it's subtleties I am less likely to fall into any dangerous taboos of the culture. I am eager to help in research of the unknown, even without fully a developed evocation I would be glad to help as an assistant to any research. I can take detailed notes or simply act as an extra hand, anything to see the process first hand. I already have experience in Telekinesis and can connect to the void without fainting, though this likely isn't unique it still another point I'd like to make in my favor.

In conclusion I hope that my qualities stand out to the Enchantry and I can be accepted as an acolyte. If possible I would wish to study under Sarrion though I accept whichever teacher I am given, if I do get accepted. Due to being a human living in Renatus, I have been keeping my use of voidal magic secret (Hence the envelope within an envelope). Please do not announce me as accepted if I am accepted. A simply reply letter would be greatly appreciated. Due to Telekinesis being an "Illegal magic" it is not possible or at the least very hard to get a Hermetic license for it. I hope that my wish to enroll can be kept quite for my safety. Thank you for your time and deliberation.

-Signed,

Axel Swale"

Eirena, second enchanter of the guild would mutter under her breath as she read the letter. "I feel offended."

Huckleberry wrote a letter as soon as he could, it was almost impossible to understand from how bad his writting was. "Heya there, I'm just a man looking for magic, please teach me, I have money and power so please teach me, pretty please. -Huckleberry."

[!] A beautifully handwritten letter is sent to the chantry...its carrier...a cat seeming to have been carefully groomed as if this was its one and only purpose. It reads: "This one wishes to learn, yes? For the knowing of magic will help M'Riska achieve great deals using threat of the consequence or illusion to get what he wants." -M'Riska, The Sugar Cat
