Ailments of Atlas

[!] Flocks of messenger birds bearing a strange missive are sent in all directions of Atlas, depositing a letter indiscriminately in the capitals and settlements of all. With the birds, a parcel containing a message and what appears to be a survey titled Ailments of Atlas is included – one such parcel displayed in Cloud Temple to be hand-copied by any who wish to partake in the questionnaire.

 

Karin’ayla, Throm’ka, Bonjour, Salutations, Nǐ hǎo, Sa’vi, ‘Lo.

 

I apologize for my lack of understanding in these languages and many others, but I endeavor to change that in the coming years as my studies and research on our world continues. My name is Airebys Sylric, and I am an Acolyte for Illynora Sylvaeri’s ‘Institute of Healing’ located in Aegrothond. With her humble guidance, I have been inspired to form and deliver these survey questions across Atlas with the intention of learning what common or exotic ailments affect our people--for disease and wound discriminate against none and have no qualms with which lives they take. I invite any and all who practice medical studies to look over the survey I have written and submit it at your leisure, as it is purely optional. Do know however, that the more knowledge that we collectively cooperate to share, the better off our individual nations and societies will be. In light of the recent civil war between Adria and Curonia, I believe this would especially be helpful in expanding common knowledge on what medicinal plants and methods that can be used to treat suffering patients.

 

I intend to publish the results in their entirety in a matter of one Elven month upon the submission of this missive for all to observe, and encourage all to share it among fellow medical scholars and pioneers. The full survey consists of three sections containing two multiple-choice answer questions and two check-box questions, along with a single long-answer response.
