Just because this ‘archecore’ you mentioned doesn’t recognize us as a subrace, doesn’t mean we aren’t a subrace. We’ve been recognized as a subrace for years, and to remove us now as one and just categorizing us as another petty ‘culture’ would utterly undermine all the work we’ve put into our actual core culture--which we are still updating to this day mind you. I haven’t been a snelf for nearly as long as some of the players here but its outrageous that anyone would even suggest removing us as a subrace... Take the players feelings into account on this please instead of just dictating whats convenient for the dev team.

Cleaning up personas is something we should be doing as a lot of them have outdated/no longer functional underlying races (e.g. construct) or have their overlying set to a specific creature when they should be using /cex. Things like easterner fall under "Farfolk" so it also makes sense to have them as a different tag under the racial Farfolk, which is where we were going with this, but there's been some miscommunication on what's going on regarding the “removal” of some subraces. Snelves are still a subrace so everyone who keeps PM'ing me freaking out over snelves turning into a culture and things like that should relax. Their lore isn't being yeeted into non-existence or anything like that.

 

A proper response will be put once we've talked things out with the devs and cleared up the issues. And for the record don't blame them, things are hectic at the moment for them with 7.0 coming up so I'm not surprised that there was a misunderstanding. The older votes this was based off of was something that wasn't fully explained to them at the time and I've been on and off hiatus focusing on the Story Team for the past few weeks.
