When Malinor Burned

It is true that the Mali’aheral have been a deceptive worm to the world and her host. It is a species that thrives on low cunning and contempt of those unlike them; they, of flaxen hair from the golden pools that have atrophied their bodies and wasted their minds. The international friendships they derive are wholly parasitic.

The high elf will pay lip service and nothing else for the coddling given to his silver cities. He will offer nothing and demand everything. Their output, both culturally and economic, is a net negative. The silver culture decays naturally till death, until the next generation of disparate youth reform on increasingly diluted and abject values. This cycle has continued in perpetuity, and to their benefit, isolation.

But you, Mali’aheral, have forayed into a world that is not your own. You assess ancient titles you’ve never held. You premiere your entry into global politics with a decree absent of reason or purpose. The last high elven magnum opus was the incineration of Oren’s King Vydra. The fallout resulted in systematic genocide, vassalization, and oppression for centuries to pass. But now you have not betrayed a human monarch. Rather, you’ve betrayed your entire race.

Hark, and mark these words clear. I was present when Malinor burned. I peered above the ramparts to see the legion of White Rose. I retreated when the Emperor Horen’s personal vanguard broke through the West Wall. And as we escaped our ancient city, I looked my last to the home of all Elves. And you were nowhere to be found.

An elf that does not fight for his own is no elf at all. You have never broken bread with the Elves of old. You have never defended the Princedom that you now claim.

When the wars of our world wash across the land, I hope that they will tide on your shore. For the era of Mali’aheral has come and has lived. Now, it's time for it to end.

“The way I was told, there were three, maybe four Mali’ame left in the city. This man must run very well if he got away,” Delos shrugs, looking at the notice.

Somewhere, a figure mourns the Alliance he and his brother Erathon had fought to forge. Seemingly in vain, however.

As the last lumi’drim of Malinor remembers how Malinor actually fell,

he cant realy remember any big burning of the main city of the elves

from the White Rose.

I don’t remember when Malinor burned, as I was indeed not present. I do remember how it was before it met its well-deserved end.

I remember the murderers who stalked the streets bereft of order, decency, and creed.

I remember the deviants who sat and smiled with their friends as they read through their tomes of dark arts.

I remember the anarchists who used its corrupted and lawless capitals as a base for their crimes beyond it.

I remember when ‘elf’ was synonymous with ‘assassin,’ ‘depraved,’ and ‘thief.’ So prevalent was the influence of that disgusting land that these stereotypes survive centuries on--almost as if instinct in the non-mali.

Let me ask you this, dear Thexan; why is it so that “Malinor” has never been reformed? There have been Dominions, Princedoms, Kingdoms, States, but never another Malinor. Worry not, for this question is rhetorical llir! Allow me the honour of answering it.

Shame.

The name is as shameful as its later history, and obliterates its ancient glories of Aegis. The name is as grand a joke as Maheral Visaj’s decree. Frankly, you should be thanking us for taking the mantle away from the Mali’ame and the Mali’ker (and ice elves, if they count). Spreading its meaningless and debased titles around in order to mock the union of Haelun’ors former allies with the ice-elves is the kindest possible thing to be done with them.

So it is true dear Thexan that we were not present during that conflict. From what I’ve seen, we tend to align ourselves with those whom share our interests and mean us no harm.

As to why we weren’t standing by you on those walls, why in the names of Malin and Larihei would we have been?

“Who is this man?” Vexalia asked with a light snort.

((Sack of Luminaire, Malinor still existed, for a good time after. Luminaire was abandoned after the scourge corrupted it, and though after that they made a new city called ‘New Malinor’ dumbly enough, thought the exact same leaders of Malinor reigned. and at the time, everyone simply referred to the nation as malinor, and the ‘city’ New Malinor, unless there is another group called the Lumi’drim out there, im thinking the Anthosian guardforce.))
