The Imperial Government 

The government of the Holy Orenian Empire is defined as an absolute monarchy with the authority of the Emperor vested with an autocratic prerogative over all matters as head of state. For the furtherance of the realm, the Emperor appoints an advisory body known as the Privy Council, comprising of the eight Great Officers of State, each tasked with specific mandates. 

 

Responsibilities of the Imperial Privy Council

The Imperial Privy Council is comprised of the Great Officers of State, whose duties are to advise the Emperor on matters of the realm and discharge the duties of their respective offices. 

 

List of the Great Officers of State

 

IMPERIAL ARCHCHANCELLOR - Ld. John Balain | [TangoisPointless] 

• The Imperial Archchancellor is marked by the Signet of St. Wilfriche. He wields penultimate authority in the Empire and is charged to preserve the crown and monarchy by all means possible, including in matters of succession.

 

IMPERIAL VIZIER -  Mr. Hugo Wright | [KosherZombie]

• The Imperial Viceroy is marked by the Signet of St. Thomas. He is charged to oversee and ensure the fealty of the Imperial provinces and overseas territories, and acts as the Archchancellor’s deputy.

 

LORD HIGH MARSHAL - Vacant

• The Imperial High Marshal is marked with the Signet of St. Emma. He is charged to oversee the Imperial Retinue and coordinate with the levies of the realm to marshal Imperial forces in times of war.

• The High Admiral is marked by the Signet of St. Edmond. He is charged to oversee the Imperial navy and all maritime operations.

 

LORD HIGH MAGISTRATE - Ld. Otto Alimar | [Pureimp10]

• The Lord Justicar is marked by the Signet of St. Lucien. He is charged to update and codify Imperial law and oversee Imperial courts, delivering just judgement to those convicted of capital offences in the name of the Crown.

 

GRAND KNIGHT - Ser Bruno Capua | [Gwynon]

• The Grand Knight is marked with the Signet of St. Lothar. He is charged to oversee the chivalric Orders within the realm, and to ensure their proper maintenance and morality.

 

MINISTER OF THE INTERIOR- Peter, Cardinal Helena  | [Boiendl]

• The Minister of the Interior is marked by the Signet of St. Catherine. He is charged to oversee the construction of public works within the Empire, and to act as the clerk of the Imperial demesne.

 

LORD PRIVY SEAL - Mr. Terrence May | [Piov]

• The Lord Privy Seal is marked by the Signet of St. Adrian. He is charged to keep the Imperial Seal of State and to draft the decrees of the Imperial Government.
