An Answer

A letter would find its way across Arcas, finding itself pinned upon every notice board that could be found, for all to see and witness.

There are those who have sought to lay demands on me and my Paladins, and brought us to swordpoint to have us follow their ways. Our hand has been forced, and I must at last lay down my pride and answer to such greater forces. I lay down everything. You may have Vexalia for yourselves, if you find her. She is cast from us, and will find no shelter beneath our wings. This is not a battle we can win, and it is not a battle we will fight. We’ve lost. I’ve lost. Consider the Paladins no more, unless one of the three I have taught seeks to create an Order. I shall live my life as any other might. I will not lead, nor will I humor, any attempts at discussion. Your demands are met, and more.

You have your answer.

Silir Uradir’s veiled gaze remains stark as he looks over the retort, returning it to his office deep within the solace of Haelun'ors looming walls. It would rest there, the elf showing little emotion.

”Our demand consisted of an extradition.”

A Snow Elven commandant read over the reply carefully. Soon scoffing at it’s contents. “Typical mage order to bend to anything’s demands.” He’d simply toss the missive onto the corner of his desk.

“Do you concede she is a dark magi, or otherwise some form of Daemon – or do you simply drop her because of external political pressure? This distinction is of grave importance to the image of the Paladins.” A letter is signed by Cullas Sylvaeri and equally distributed around the Arcas newspapers and what not.

A whistling Mali’Fenn wanders through the streets of Fenn before stumbling upon this notice.  All that can escape his lips is a resounding “Huh” Before he casts the paper aside, continuing his stroll through the tundra.

“Wow, they’re targeting paladins for once. Huh,” a certain dark being would hum as he leaned back in his rocking chair. He then flips his newspaper over to the next page. “Damn, what’s up with all the recent orcish postings?”

Dargo scoffs reading the note “Dargo was prepared tu fight thees one out, konsidereeng how patheteek Haelun’orian militaree ees” he would sigh, placing away his weapons “Dargo had started tu believe thaw paladeens were different frum thaw othaw holee mages, but he guesses they are weak-willed kowards like thaw rest, so quikk tu abandon their own based on akkusatiuns”

“Well damn,” Alberic mutters, upon hearing of this news, “First the Clerics, now the Paladins, probably the ascended next. Pretty soon we’re gonna be all out of diety magics. Apart from the Druid’s I suppose, though they’re basically just magic Irrinor.”
