A CALL TO SERVE JUSTICE

 

To all literate, able-bodied humans of the Empire,

 

With the establishment of The Imperial Curia imminent, His Excellency the Solicitor-General Count Bohemond de Leumont of Provins calls upon you to serve as the first generation of lawbearers in the realm. We hope that through your servitude, vigilance and sense of justice, we can make the law work for the Empire with YOU.

 

THE OFFICE OF THE SOLICITOR-GENERAL, employs,

 

 

Judges of the Imperial Curia;

Preside over legal procedures that the Imperial Curia decides to handle.

 

Qualifications:

Must be well-acquainted with the old and the upcoming reformed law codex.

Must be literate and eloquent in formulating & applying justice.

Must be able to prove a certain degree of independence from political groups or existing peerage.

THE OFFICE OF THE PROSECUTOR-GENERAL employs,

 

Prosecutors of the Imperial Curia;

Sue parties on behalf of the Solicitor-General and defends the government in legal procedures.

 

Qualifications:

Must be well-acquainted with Imperial bureaucracy & jurisdictions.

Must be literate and eloquent in formulating subpoenas and a defense.

Must be willing to take initiative in researching, preparing & executing a case.


 

THE OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY-GENERAL employs,

 

Attorneys of the Imperial Citizenry;

Sue parties on behalf of the citizenry and defends the citizenry in legal procedures. 

 

Qualifications:

Must be well-acquainted with the rights & duties of Imperial citizens.

Must be literate and eloquent in formulating subpoenas and a defense.

Must be willing to represent all accused or accusing citizens regardless of their political status, gender or wealth.


 

THE GENERAL OPERATIONS DIRECTOR OF THE IMPERIAL CURIA REGISTRY employs,

 

Enforcers of the court;

Ensure all parties involved in any legal procedure are located, properly informed & prepared for the next phase in the procedure ahead. 

 

Qualifications:

Must be well-acquainted with the geography of the Empire.

Must be physically capable of bringing parties to court if necessary.

Must be willing to go to extreme lengths to bring every citizen or organization to face the law in court. 

 

HOW TO APPLY:

Send a letter to the Solicitor-General with your preferred function including a reasoning as to why you can competently and faithfully execute the tasks that such a function embodies.

 

If you are selected as a proper candidate, you will be brought to your supervisor accordingly; who will be responsible for your vetting and education.

Jean Robert Laurent scratches his head at the missive, a perplexed look plastered on his face as he read the words before a grin slowly creept across his face and he started to laugh like a madman,

“Justice in The Empire! If there were any justice in Arcas a Usurper would not sit in Helena and the roads would not be overrun with bandits!”

Once his chuckles subsided his mood darkened and he tore up the missive and cast it aside as he sat in the warm climes of a foreign country,
