Summary of the plant:

Malin’s heart is one of the few painkilling plants available. Unlike Blissfoil and Frostvine, which can provide numbing in a local area where applied, Malin’s heart will numb the entire body. It has been found growing in forests and plains as far back as Anthos, and possibly even further. The plant is known for its white flowers that bloom for only a day or so at the height of summer.

Can you use this in combat:

No

Characteristics of the plant:

This plant grows among other, more common wildflowers in plains and forests. This plant grows about three feet in height at its largest. It grows a large central stalk with several short offshoots and several leaves alternating on each side of the stalk. At the height of summer, for one day, white flowers bloom on the ends of the stalks. Due to the plant’s relatively short period at bloom, it isn’t terribly common in the wild, however, it does grow well in cultivation, rendering it more common than its presence in the wild would suggest.

The stalk of the plant, when chewed, can fully numb the entire body for minutes at a time. This can be useful for surgery or other painkilling applications where a local painkiller like Blissfoil can’t cover a wide enough area. While an overdose can prolong the period of numbness, it is generally safe to use under healer supervision.

(( As an OOC note, its appearance is loosely based off the Maximilian sunflower. ))
