Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska 3491 Share Posted January 8, 2020 The Petrovic Reforms 1st of Horen’s Calling, 1750 | 4th of Julya and Piov, 303 ES Named after King Petyr due to the likeness of his military reforms ushered in by the formation of the Kingdom of Haense, the Petrovic Reforms aim to create efficiency within the military structure of Haense as well as to create incentives for the nobility and military alike. Both play an important role in the defense of Haense and shall be incorporated in the reforms below. The Lord Marshal will have complete authority over all the soldiers of Haense, aside from the knights of the realm who are protected under the Knight Paramount’s authority and jurisdiction. The Brotherhood of Saint Karl shall be recognized as the Auwn Ezred of Haense and will serve as the royal infantry of the kingdom. Their command structure will be determined by the Commandant of the Brotherhood with advice from fellow officers so that the best structure may be implemented. The Chapter of the Black Cross is hereby dissolved and its responsibilities delegated to the Dres Ezred. The Chapter of the Destrier is hereby dissolved and its responsibilities delegated to the Dres Ezred. The Zwein Ezred of Haense is hereby commissioned. The Zwein Ezred will be directly overseen by a hand picked Commandant to serve as a liaison between the Lord Marshal and the Zwein Ezred. It will consist of the authorized retinues of the Kingdom of Haense. Not every House will have an authorized retinue, nor will they be required to maintain one. The creation of a noble retinue must be directly approved by the King of Haense himself, and may not exceed the limits set by the Crown as per the House’s titular status. It may also remain below the limitations set. Houses of Baronial status shall be able to maintain up to eight hundred ((8)) bannermen. Houses of Comital status shall be able to maintain up to thirteen hundred ((13)) bannermen. Houses of Ducal status shall be able to maintain up to eighteen hundred ((18)) bannermen. Those houses currently authorized to possess a noble retinue are as follows: The House of Baruch The House of Ruthern The House of Kovachev Each retinue shall be commanded by a captain nominated by the House’s lord, subject to the approval of the Lord Marshal and/or His Majesty’s Government. These captains will report directly to the Commandant of the Zwein Ezred or, in the absence of one, to the Lord Marshal himself or a designated officer of the Auwn Ezred. The Dres Ezred of Haense is hereby commissioned. The Dres Ezred will be commanded by the Knight Paramount of Haense. It will be composed of the Golden Hussars and any future knightly orders commissioned in Haense. However, soldiers who are knighted within other Ezreds will be able to remain in that Ezred if they so choose. Sodiers of the Auwn Ezred who serve for a minimum of 10 years and achieve the rank of armiger shall be recognized for their efforts and will be considered to receive a farmstead. The farmstead will be given to the soldier’s family for the extent of their life and the lives of their children. Soldiers recognized for this privilege will be chosen at the discretion of their commanding officers and the Lord Marshal. Soldiers will also be equipped with food, weaponry, armor, and housing for the duration of their service as well. The Zwein Ezred is expected to equip their own soldiers. Arrangements can be made with the Lord Marshal to equip soldiers in the Zwein Ezred if found to be necessary. Noble houses who develop quality soldiers will be recognized for those efforts. The maintaining of a healthy retinue and a strong rally will make Houses more likely to receive titular elevations following a royal review. These reviews are conducted at the discretion of the King of Haense and his council and may ask for the division to rally similar numbers presented to them in another battle or at a Royal Demonstration. Exemplary service by noblemen as higher ranking officers in the Auwn Ezred will also be rewarded and taken into consideration during a royal review. The Zwein Ezred shall not be allowed to recruit within the walls of the royal city of Reza. It is the Auwn Ezred, or the Brotherhood of Saint Karl’s, sole right to do this. Auwn Ezred troops may not be enticed in any way to join a retinue after joining the Brotherhood of Saint Karl, nor may lords interfere with Brotherhood recruitment. Should the Lord Marshal also be the patriarch of a noble House, he may not command a retinue as a captain in addition to the military of Haense. He must either enter his soldiers into the First Ezred or nominate another to command the retinue of his House in his stead. A military training camp shall be established on the outskirts of Reza, comprised of tents, obstacle courses, archery ranges, and the likes. The uniforms of each soldier will be armor made by the Brotherhood of Saint Karl. However, the tabard may be designed to display appropriate noble house and knightly symbols that each soldier represents.
