ROOT FOR RUTLEDGE.

1754 campaign platform.

Hello Curonians, another election is on the horizon and I’ve already stated my principles in a previous campaign leaflet.

It warms my heart to see the Curonian people stand by the side of the Holy Orenian Empire and Emperor Peter III, even when our enemies are literally next door.

But what are my policies, what do I want to bring to the table?

MAINTAIN ORENIAN DEMOCRACY!

We were once ruled by a privy council of corrupt elitists who were completely unaccountable.

We now have a council of state, held to account by the Imperial Senate.

We once had a failed Imperial Parliament, which the majority of its members were nobles and clergymen, accountable to no one but themselves.

We now have an Imperial Senate, a legislative body that represents all provinces of the empire and all of the Imperial Senate’s members are accountable to the people they represent.

1. I will introduce a bill that institutionally protects the status of the Imperial Senate.

2. I will continue to oppose any form of church representation in the Imperial Senate and I will oppose all bills brought to the chamber that grant the church a voice in our democratic legislature.

3. I will introduce a bill that abolishes the House of Lords.

ON LOCAL CURONIAN POLITICS & CURONIA.

1. After the reconstruction of Avalain, I will work with the Governor-General Sylvester Halcourt and my fellow senator, Clovis Farlander on bringing back the position of the Alcalde and recommend establishing a proportionally elected group of Councillors to work with the Alcalde.

2. I will encourage businesses in the capital to open a stall in a reconstructed Curonian capital.

3. I will continue to support local businesses and I will vote against legislation that directly harms businesses, such as strict environmental protections and tough regulations.

ALWAYS ROOT FOR RUTLEDGE.

1754.

With love, Senior Senator for Curon Vivaca Adhara Rutledge, Chairwoman of the Senate Civil Affairs Committee.
