General Information

 

Origins of the Tavern

 

Purchased by the Iron Barons, when Grand-King Utak Ireheart auctioned off the tavern. They remained in possession of the tavern for many years, until Utak decided that the tavern would be nationalised under the management of Dhaen Grandaxe, who after her long tenure as manager chose to step down. Grand-King Jorvin appointed dual managers Ordar Irongrinder and Gildroc Goldhand in her stead. Under their astute leadership they seek to revitalise the tavern.

The tavern is located on your right as you walk into the capital city of Dwedkind; Kal’Evraal.

Tavern Events

Tavern events are held every stone week to increase traffic into the tavern, and provide the Dwedmar with competitive events to compete in. These events may include drinking contests, arm-wrestling matches, card-games etc etc. Winners of these events will receive a mina prize, and their names on the tavern wall of fame.

 

Event Info

 

Drinking Contest

 

RP Information: You will have to compete against a fellow Dwed, with three rounds of alcohol apiece. The Dwed who drinks the fastest, and manages to stay conscious throughout these brackets wins, and is able to go on to the higher rounds. The best drinker wins.

 

OOC Information: In each round of drinking, you will have to roll-off (/roll 20). For the first two beginning rounds, the highest total rolls contribute to who will win the bracket, and therefore who drinks the quickest in Roleplay. However in the last round, rolling a one means an instant knockout, and your character will fall unconscious. Every three rounds of drinks, raises this knockout chance by one.

 

Arm Wrestling Contest

 

RP Information: You will compete against a fellow dwed to see who is the strongest, with one round per bracket where you will try and use your strength to defeat your other opponent by slamming their fist to the table. No cheating allowed.

 

OOC Information: In each bracket, you will roll-off against your opponent (/roll 20). Highest roll equals the winner. This is the only OOC rule for the Arm-Wrestling contest.

Employment Details

 

How to sign up

 

Seek either Ordar or Gildroc around Urguan to enter into the tavern's employ, or send a letter to the Tavern with your employment application. Remember, the managers impression of you will ensure whether or not you receive a job, so face to face interaction is prioritised. 

 

Bartender Pay

 

As of now, there is no regulated pay system for bartenders in the tavern, however they do keep earnings from food and drink they sell, in addition to tips. 

 

Brewer Pay

Brewer’s are contracted by the tavern, and produce drinks that are bought by the tavern
