BE GREAT, VOTE GEORGE GALBRAITH!

LET’S EMPOWER OURSELVES - TOGETHER.

Empowering the common citizen

Since his roles in government work and politics, George Galbraith has worked to better the environment that he’s lived in. As the co-director of Saint Julia’s Orphanage, alongside the church, George has worked for several years to get orphaned children off the streets, supporting them with resources that they need to become successful. As the former Chancellor of the Helena Livery Board, George has worked with the Interior and the Mayor to create, structure, and revitalize the Livery Companies of Helena, a system that has in fact created an influx of needed businesses, jobs, and economic growth to the city. On a national level, George currently works as the Undersecretary of the Treasury, working on subsidizing infrastructure to create more homes and residential spaces, refining steward policy, as well as revitalizing loans and grants for small businesses. George had also served as a dedicated member of the 16th Session of the Imperial Diet in the House of Commons, where he has worked on important legislation, namely the Amadeus Resolution, that works to establish order in the State of Sutica. George has the experience and dedication to earn your vote to empower citizens.

About George Galbraith

George Galbraith is an exemplary illustration of the common citizen working towards the Orenian dream. He is a hard-worker, a follower of the Maxim of Saint Peter: “One God, One Law and One Country” and in favor of maximizing the efficiency of His Imperial Majesty’s Government.

After George Galbraith migrated to the Imperial City of Helena with his family from Kaedrin, he originally started working as a small employee for the Dragon’s Rest Tavern. Eventually, after learning about government work and starting to invest his time on those, he obtained his first job as a Treasury Agent, as well as the position of Chief of Staff to the Archchancellor. In fact, it was from there where he started to work very closely with the Interior, appointed as the Chancellor of the Livery Board, working in Helena’s municipal government to structure the livery system. As he dedicated his life to working for the Orenian people, he ended up rising to the Undersecretary of the Treasury, and was given the opportunity to sit on the Josephite bench in the House of Commons.

George has dedicated his whole adult life to productivity and peace in Oren as shown by his successes, and this is something he will never stop doing. He has worked his way up, through his passion to help everyone that he possibly can, and all he needs is your support in the upcoming national election for him to continue his duty of serving the Empire to the best of his abilities.

Election Platform

  • Working with the Treasury to revitalize the Loan Office, and creating more feasible loans that can be paid back, as well as establishing Treasury grants and subsidies for small institutions.

  • Increasing employment opportunity

  • Combatting inflated prices of goods and services in Helena, including high housing prices

  • Working to refine stewardric operations to optimize taxation for both citizens and government

  • Promoting social and civil activism for races in a systematic disadvantage

Other candidates

Recognizing that any eligible voter can vote for up to 3 candidates, George would also recommend voting for Jonah Stahl-Elendil, Edward Napier, and Viktoriya Mary Pruvia-Albarosa.

“I couldn’t think of anyone better than Undersecretary George Galbraith to sit in the House of Commons! I’m very confident he’ll do it great and that he’ll introduce legislation in favor of the Orenian people” Secretary Edward would smile to his brother as he announced he was running for office.

Angelika Bykov nodded in approval as she read the Gabraith’s platform. ”He has gained very much experience throughout the last four years. I believe he will do well if elected.

“Clearly does not have the peoples best interest at hearts when their whole family live in a giant monstrosity that they call a ‘manor’.” said Boniface. “They do not understand the plight and struggles of the common man.”

George Galbraith would nod to the man’s comment, listening to his critique.

”Aye, sir, this may be an important concern for any political figure. But for a bit of background- my family in fact all did live in a small house when we first came to Helena, in the C-class tax bracket to be exact. I too struggled through the plights of the common man, often struggling with employment and curating enough minae. However, through dedication and hard work to the service of the empire, we were able to afford a manor. I hope to help people similar in my previous situation to achieve similar success, and contribute to the betterment of Oren.”

“Clearly you don’t get it. Your entire family avoid paying tax for your eye-sore manor because the leader of your house is the Secretary of Interior, he abuses his position to avoid tax, much like the Carrington woman whines and the Carrington mayor too abuses his position to avoid paying tax like everyone else. If your family comes into power this will only continue.” replied Boniface.

“Ah, it would seems as if there’s a policy misunderstanding here. There currently exists no taxation system for those who own land in the Crownlands, and in fact, the Josephites, alongside the Treasury, are working to create a suitable tax framework for both landowners and tax collectors. This originally was rejected by the Everardines, and we intend to refine it for resubmission into the House.”

“Furthermore, the construction of the estate isn’t even finished, so the point of “evading tax” doesn’t seem reasonable.”
