Auras & Colour Theory

INTRODUCTION

At the Coalition of Arcane Knowledge, students are sorted into Genuses based on their aura colour. In simple terms, one’s aura is the smoke of their mana, if mana is to be compared to the fire, and mana is the energy one uses to cast magic. 

 

Auras come in a vast range of colours, though they are typically a singular colour. This colour can be anything from red to blue to yellow to white, though it cannot be black unless one’s soul has been corrupted (ex. dark magic) or rainbow. Auras can be a loose representation of one’s base character, though by no means is it a fantastic judge. Individuals’ auras can be a colour that has nothing to do with their personality, or it can be something that aligns loosely with it. However, once one’s aura has formed and adopted a colour, that colour remains stagnant unless a major event occurs in that person’s life, though it is rare for that to occur. 

 

In order to sort students into their Genuses, students should reach out to the Headmaster, as an aura colour only forms when a student is performing magic, so unless a student is connected, an estimate will be made based off of the provided information by the student and they will be placed in a Genus according to their estimate. Later on, if they eventually do connect and are able to perform magic and form an aura, their Genus will be adjusted as necessary. 

 

 

AURA COLOURS

While it is true that aura colours are a very poor gauge of personality, they can be used as a loose and not-perfectly-accurate judge of base character. By studying the connections between colours and personalities, the following interpretation of colours’ connections has been formed. Keep in mind that there are countless other interpretations that are different from the following one, though for the purposes of the Coalition, this one is to be used. 

 

• White: innocence, purity, order
• Pink: gentle, kind, caring
• Red: passionate, brave, wrathful
• Orange: creative
• Yellow: cheerful, easily distracted, craves attention
• Green: nature, envious, greedy
• Light Blue: Calm, serene, introverted
• Blue: logical, heartless, cold, calm
• Purple: mysterious, ambitious, authoritative
• Black: malicious, corrupt, evil, chaotic

Osheim wonders where he can see these studies. Then, he remembers he’s currently camping in the wilderness so probably can’t ask.
