Your Wife and Mary Lucille jumped out of my window.” Alpha’s words echo’d in the mind of Peter Baldwin, he would go to look at an opened bottle of Sunholdt Red. placing his hand on his mouth, his would gasp sharply, going to grab hold of the bottle, going to down what little remained of the contents. He had been in drunken stupor since he dismissed his comrades in the Imperial State Army from their patrol. going to scratch his chin, going to look at a singular painting he had in his office, before turning off his lantern he would give a grimace as the dark words plagued his mind.

Mary Jane sits at her desk in the Carrington Estate she now holds. Holding onto the document and reading it over and over again, not believing the words written. Finally the woman would come to her senses, dropping the parchment into a desk drawer and moving off through the estate to find her nieces and nephews, knowing they would be her top priority for these next trying years.

Confusion clouded the mind of the brunette as she held the letter in her hands. She had received it while patrolling around Helena. It was lying on the ground outside the tavern. She didn’t read it until the sky was dark and she was at the Carrington Estate. She was going to say goodnight to Mary after reading the letter, but her blood went cold as her green gaze travelled across the written words. T-that’s ridiculous! She’s still here...she’s not..” The Carrington clutched the paper tightly in her grasp and busted out of her bedroom, her brown locks messily falling in her face as she ran towards Mary Lucille’s room. Mary? Come o-on this is a joke right? Mary??” Katherine knocked on the door, her right hand still clutching the letter. She felt her heartbeat picking up as adrenaline ran through her nerves.

After no response, the female threw the door to the bedroom open, seeing it empty. Her heart sank, and she winced as the burning sensation of tears filled her eyes. M-mary...no..why?She croaked out, stumbling into the room and falling down, staring down at the letter again. She took a shaky breath before standing up and solemnly walking away from the bedroom- the silence almost killing her as she headed to the door to the Estate. She stopped for a second, crying softly as she walked out, the sky still sparkling with stars. You stupid dummy.. She softly whimpered, throwing the letter down in front of the door before running away from the estate- heading somewhere she could cry her heart out without the terrible feeling of the empty estate clutching her heart.

A solicitor not quite worth his salt begrudges the letter, turning to another solicitor in his employ,

“Sir, where has the education of nobility gone, where they think wills transcend the laws of the realm?”
