The air was cold as Sacul woke up again. He looked around himself for a while, as he recalled the events that had happened. He could hear the screams of burning men and other sounds of battle as he remembered what had happened.

He had taken part in the latest attack against the bandits that had been pillaging the Haenseni countryside. In the midst of the battle he had seen the enemy commander, and he went for it. But he lost. As he woke up at the bandit camp he had lost his eye, his armor and there was a large wound in his neck. He was tied to a barrel as he heard footsteps closing in. It was the same commander, Ser Gotfried that he had lost his duel previously. The knight gripped Sacul and dragged him to the ramparts of the fortress.

Sacul saw his brothers, the soldiers of the HRA fighting the bandits. The knight held a dagger to his eye, threatening to blind him if the HRA were not to leave.

After some talking, Manfred Barclay, The Lord Marshal of Haense accepted to call off his men, if Sacul was to be released. But as the Knight started to take Sacul off the ramparts, he saw the chance, and he took it "Krusae Zwy Kongzem" Sacul muttered as he turned around towards the knight, then he charged, aiming to make the Knight fall of the walls. He succeeded, the knight fell off but Sacul was also shot with a crossbow to the leg, which forced him to jump after the Knight.

Sacul fell onto the water, next to the knight. He tried to struggle away, but for no avail. As the knight held him, he stabbed Sacul through the back. As he bled in the water, he could hear the shouts of his brothers and sisters getting closer. He closed his eye, a single tear dropping to his cheeks, knowing that his sacrifice was not in vain.

Clenched teeth, a numb face and blinking eyes were Brandt’s first reactions as he heard word of the passing. Without further words, the man waved his hand dissmissively to the courrier, asking to be left alone. As he sat in his burdening bed with the letter in hand, Brandt’s eyes remained on the words of his dear apprentice Sacul’s passing.

His breath quickened, and his eyes reddened. The man’s hand clenches and formed into a contracted fist, grabbing on the sheets as he let the letter rest to the side. Another moment of quietness later, sobbing would be heard and tears would be seen in the duchy of Reinmar, coming from Brandt’s room. The latter moved the sheets away as he jumped from his bed, his leg still wounded, though at this point insignificant.

Pivoting on his feet, tears dropped to the floor bellow Brandt, who, still sobbing, managed to slowly move himself towards the balcony, begging for fresh air. Closing the door behind him, Brandt placed his hands on the wooden railings of the balcony. He grabbedo onto it with force, clear sobbing would be heard to the dock bellow as Brandt lowered his head, more tears flowing from his eyes, his mind thinking back on all his memories with his dear apprentice and friend Sacul.

Dung, dung, dung, be the sound of fist punching wood would be heard, thrice so. Directing his anger to the closest thing, Brandt would begin beating the wooden railing with his fist. He the did so again and again until it started bleeding. Moving back then to lean on the wall, Brandt slid down to sit on the Balcony, his legs before him, hurt still, but the Barclay had much in his mind to focus on it.

His face had become red, as were his eyes. Looking up into the open sky above Reinmar then, in between his tears he was able to utter ”Krusae Zwy Kongzem” he whispered Sacul’s dying words as his head then turned to look down. Brandt remained there of hours, wordless, though quietly praying and commemorating Sacul Risha, a name he’d now never forget.

“Yet another lad lost to the toll of war...” *Would sign the cross on his chest* ”I hope Brandt handles it well...”

On the way to Reinmar, Alfred walked quite normally, with purely positive thoughts. Little by little, step by step, he noticed a strange structure not far from him. As he approached, he noticed that it was a wooden cross, and that something was written on it ... " Was? This hasn't been here before, ich can swear to God ..."

As Alfred approached slowly, he could finally see very close name. At that point, he remained frozen. A shiver ran through his body, trembling moderately as he read his friend's name over and over..and again ... " Sacul..God ist going to help zhou, gut freund..God, take him safely to heaven, to Seven Skies .. " he knelt down, clasping his hands together and praying for the soul of his very good friend, once a brother, and a soldier ..

" A lot of people have been dying lately..this ist nicht gut, not at all .. " Alfred said, slowly getting up on his feet. He watched the wooden cross for a few more minutes before continuing to the keep, now emotionally empty and with dark thoughts in his head..

Adrianna would rush up the stone stairs of Reinmar at hearing the sounds of her husband upstairs, pressing her ear to the bedroom door to listen. Then, at hearing what sounded to be fists upon wood, worry would rush over her like a wave. Upon entering, she’d see the balcony door open to her left and a letter laid upon the bed to her right. Sighing softly, she’d hurry to the bedside and inspect the letter, sorrow brewing with each word she read.

”Oh Brandt...” She’d mumble, setting the letter back down and hurrying over to the balcony where he sat in prayer.

Without a word, she’d slide her back down the wall to sit beside him, gently reaching to take his bruised and bloodied hands within hers as she too let her head fall in prayer for Sacul, wishing she had known him better, and hoping his passing was quick.
