Lorrick 40 Share Posted May 29, 2021 (edited) ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Northwind Post Shuts Down Printing Press ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Amddur, or "The Path" is a religious pilgrimage of the A'tmuzigh people where they follow the path of Mezeg the Liberator. For over a decade, the Northwind Post, established in Varhelm, has reliably covered the news in Norland and distributed it to its citizens to keep the kingdom informed. Every year, the Northwind Post has printed its issue detailing the most recent events and stories to keep Norlandic citizens in-the-know. However, the NWP will unfortunately be shutting down its printing press for an indefinite amount of time. Although the war rages on and information is crucial, the NWP is short-staffed. Lorrick Al-Wahdi, the newspaper's writer and editor, has left Norland to walk Amddur, a religious pilgrimage, and is unable to continue his duties for the newspaper until his eventual return. Despite plans to choose a potential replacement to take on the duties of writer and editor, until that is concretised, the Northwind Post will not be publishing any more issues for the time being. Norlandic citizens are encouraged to still follow what is happening throughout the kingdom through decrees, missives and by listening to town criers. The Northwind Post wishes to thank its readers for their understanding during these difficult times, and reminds Norlandic citizens to stay safe and stay informed. Spoke one, Esmond Reede, to himself within the peaceful safety of his forge, his eyes swiftly trailing over the contents of the missive. As his gaze reached the bottom, a discontented sigh emitted from between his lips. "What a shame! A shame, indeed.." It was an important spiritual journey for the A'tmuzigh to conduct and quietly kicked herself for not having realized that the two friends had shared even more similarities...so many stories to share over a cup of شاي together. "Strong winds be with you and may spirits spare your step," Aylin murmured, touching the notice to her forehead in blessing. It had been years since the ghosts of her own Badawi sisters slipped in from the shadows, pulling her to starlight, to roam. She sighed and shook her head at them. Not yet.
