The Shieldhand is a clan made by Haraldr Shieldhand, it had been made to once again unite the heathen Scyflings to bring their culture back to its former glories. A clan who feel like they are destined to create a name for themselves. Their icon, Bralt the Boar and his companions (The Great Scyfling Army) is an army that they absolutely admire, for it was they who had managed to invade the Canonist lands of Hanseti and Ruska. The Shieldhand Clan is a clan who wish to focus on combat and the way of a true Scyfling. They fight like wildmen, with no thought of who is standing in their way, whether that is a companion or the enemy. Their outfits are quite primitive and usually exist out of furs from different animals and leather armor, some would wear chestplate for heavy attacks and some would just wear lighter to make their attacks swifter once engaging with the enemy. The clan keeps the ideas of killing others quite secret, for now. 

 

Its current head, Ivar Shieldhand, is a more crazy leader than his father. He wants to see Canonist blood painting the grounds of Almaris. Ivar is a man who does not like it to see Scyflings adopting the Canonist faith and leaving their Scyfling warrior mindset behind; he thinks that Scyflings must remain warriors until death comes for them. Ivar is a man who puts the preservation of his culture and clan above love and friendships. Nowadays, Ivar is looking for other Scyflings to join his clan, so their culture can continue to exist and prosper like it did in the Old Days. The Shieldhand Clan is known for having an absolute distaste towards those who feel like they are in a higher status then the common peasant; this was the main cause for the clan to have such hatred towards nobility and other rankings and would only negotiate if it was in their favor or if the preservation of their culture was at the point of falling apart. They do not just want to have his own clan, but he also wants to rule over his own culture. His ambition of becoming a King did not fly away when he was growing up, and he still has this ambition until this day. Ivar wants a place for his culture to live, where they can do their own religious practices without being persecuted by the church or being forced to convert or even getting executed.
