~* Honeyhill Winter Events! *~

Hello my fellow Halflings and friends, this coming year we have a plethora of events set up to offer the kind people of the shire a full winter experience!  I wanted to layout what exactly these will include to let people know which ones they may or may not want to attend.  I want to start by first saying thank you to the High Pumplar for kicking off our year of events with our wreath making festivities which were truly a blast to attend, but anywho to the events!

Fishing and Shogging Competition!

The first event this week is truly a classic with a twist, instead of normal fishing we will be trying out ice fishing for the first time in recent history!  Whoever manages to catch the most fish in a set amount of time will be given a brand new medal!  Hope you all like shinies.  As for the shogging competition, this will follow a more traditional format with the winner being crowned the first official shogging champion of Honeyhill!

((Event Tuesday the 14th, 4pm EST / 9pm GMT))

Snowman Building Competition!

After our first competitions we will launch into our Snowman building competition just a few days later where decorations will be hidden around the village which players must locate and then decorate their snowmen using only the things they find.  The winner will be awarded a golden carrot to show their prowess in snowman building and to adorn their snowman with a very special decoration!

((Event Thursday the 16th, 3pm EST / 8pm GMT))

The Great Snowball Battle!

To finish off our year long party we will be participating in a truly exciting event, the great snowball battle!  This will function similarly to a game of capture the flag, with players being separated into two teams and each will be assigned a side of the village.  Within their territory the players must build a fort out of snow which will be provided to defend their own flag before setting out to capture the other teams.  Rules will be explained more clearly as the time approaches.

((Event Saturday the 18th, 4pm EST / 9pm GMT))

In addition to the main activities scheduled for these events these will be proper Halfling celebrations and many will end up finishing in the tavern, but all will have food and drink provided for their participants.  I hope to see you there as we celebrate this special season and ward off the wintertime blues.

P.S.  We expect people from many different nations and of many different beliefs to show up for these events.  While we Halflings respect the complexities of political culture and the history between groups we ask that while attending events all that is left behind in the spirit of enjoying this cheerful season.  Please try to remain as neutral as possible while within the village and to keep conflict with others to a minimum.

Merry Knoxmas!

As winds howl through the streets of Honeyhill, Tarron can be found in the comfort of his warm tower dwelling. He fastens the Knoxmas wreath that he made earlier securely onto his wall before moving over to pour himself a cup of cinnamon tea that had been brewing. "The holidays are in full swing, the Knoxmas spirt is thriving in Honeyhill!" Tarron says to himself moving over to watch the festive lights flicker over the rolling hills of the village.
