[!] A swift sketch of Rathonian buildings being rebuilt and repaired

On the 8th of the Grand Harvest, SA 69 of the Second Age, disaster befell the quaint, lochside town of Dùnrath, star of Southern Raenrland. The mountains and town alike trembled against the tremors sent through the earth. A total of four shocks that tore apart the very city center itself also unleashed a torrent of boulders and loose earth from Mount Osmonde. These came tumbling down the mountainside, to be met with Dùnrath’s walls. The fortifications were unable to withstand such ferocity from nature and crumbled under impact, leaving only a pile of rubble in the avalanche’s wake. Buildings fell prey to the catastrophe and a great, gaping chasm struck through the very center of Dùnrath’s square.

And then, as quickly as the earth’s storm erupted, the final shocks faded away, leaving Dùnrath as a pile of rubble in its wake where once a quaint little town had stood. Dust hung heavy in the air, a blanket blocking the sun, as the remaining echoes of the disaster dissipated.

Thanks to the swift action of Jarl Dùghlas and Marshal Ragnvald Eiriksson Ruric, citizens were evacuated from the town’s center in an orderly fashion and as yet, only a few were reported injured.

The Jarl urges all citizens to seek refuge in the neighbourhoods of Östlandet, South Dunbar and Gränsstad for housing until the main town’s center can be rebuilt. Already, refugees can be seen clearing away the rubble, with plans in the works for Dùnrath’s total reconstruction.

Dùnrath gu bràth!
