Honk noticed a blanket of snow on top of a charred, shattered tree-hedge; its branches were scattered across the roadside, and numerous eye-witnesses pointed the young and aspiring knight towards the direction of his danger. The man stepped out of his homeland, unknown by his colleagues, to set out in order to complete his trials.

THE FIRST TRIAL – DRAKE DANCE PARTY

There were numerous merchants that carried their wagons across the gravel-path, heading away from Haense in order to make coins for their family. However, their eyes were dragged towards the silhouette of something great.

A foul beast with great wings scurried across the icey mountainside; its spiked talons clawed at the rigid stonework of the hill, and clambered down rocks in an onslide. The man tangled a rope around his waist, and kept himself hoisted upwards in order to grow closer to the summit of his journey – he saw the perilous creature adjacent to him, and its leering, ice-cold gaze met back.

Honk removed a balloon that was in the same shape as a longword, and he pointed it out towards the drake. With one leap of faith, the aspiring knight and the drake met each other, and they were seen tumbling down behind a mountain; the merchants could not tell what had happened, for it was obscured by the view of the mountain.

Eventually, a victorious Honk returned with patches of ‘blood’ covering his body. His bells jangled and the man proceeded onwards to his next trial.

THE SECOND TRIAL – LITTLE RED RIDING WOLF

As the man continued into the depths of the thick forest, he saw gargantuan ebon-black shadows of trees; the canopies were covered in plasters of snow, and hid everything within sight. Upon going further into the forest, the legendary HONK stopped before his next trial.

There was a wolf, and it wore a hood of red; this wolf was not a normal wolf. It wore makeup, and had eyelashes that were as large as any. In front of the wolf, a tree-stump was carved into a table; it expressed one claw towards the neatly set teapot. “Sit, have some . . . tea.”

Honk lunged forward with his balloon-longsword, and slew the foul wolf before it could force him to drink any tea.

(Disclaimer: The following first and second trials are illusions! I did not kill a drake or witness a wolf wearing a red hood brewing tea!)
