SimplySeo 6999 Share Posted August 16, 2022 [MUSIC] Deep in the halls of Kal'Darakaan, City of Ancient Might, the aging Lord of Clan Starbreaker marched into the temple of the Worldmaker, hand still clasping the bloody longseax in his hand. As the eyes of the Gods looked down upon him, Jorvin issued a silent prayer to his fallen kinsman, Mafraedon, now dead by his hand. In his youth, Jorvin had despised Mafraedon as a clan-traitor, though in the years since, he'd grown to miss the company of one of the only Elders that heeded him the time of day. Triumphant, Jorvin felt no joy as he opened the Great Book of Grudges, most ancient and sacred of all documents to the Dwarvish race. It took him several moments of flicking through its yellowed pages to find the one he sought, once he did, he set his quill to the paper... The Wronged: Elder Clan Starbreaker The Assailant: Mafraedon Dangrensson of Clan Irongrinder The Wrong: The most vile and treacherous act of Clan-Hopping, betraying the Clan of his birth (Clan Starbreaker) and his family in favor Common Clan Irongrinder Date of Wrongdoing: 1619 Terms of Settlement: The Death of Mafraedon Dangrensson His task done, Jorvin set aside the quill, and stepped away from the book to let the ink dry. He lacked the usual pride he felt from striking out grudges, especially old ones. He realized, after a brief period of hesitation, that he felt regret. Regret that it was by his hands Mafraedon fell, for as cruel and mean as Jorvin could be, the Irongrinder he realized now, he counted as something akin to a friend once. He shook his head of such hesitations though, for he, as well as Mafraedon always knew it would've needed to end this way. Without further ado save briefly glancing once more upon the visages of the Gods, Jorvin departed the temple, and made for home.... Norgeth 1895 Share Posted August 17, 2022 "Olrum" Irongrinder scowled as he heard the news, mumbling a distinct and hate-filled string of words from within the halls of his clan. "To kill an Honorable dwarf, even one seeking his own death is still kin-slaying, Jorvin, you have made a mistake that will haunt your bloodline forever more... And I thought you as a good dwarf, instead you have proven to all that you are but a elitist snob, just as the exiled and reviled clan of Ironborn..."

A' 'old ney love en mi 'eart fer irongrinders and their past sins, bat they still be dwed.
