SimplySeo 5282 Share Posted February 13, 2023 PACT OF BARROWTON Issued 18th of Harren’s Folly, 1911 With the signing and promulgation of this document, the March of the Barrowlands and the United Kingdom of Aaun, henceforth referred to as ‘the signatories’, do agree on their honor to the terms laid forth hereafter. ARTICLE I: Non-Aggression The signatories agree in the absolute to a pact of non-aggression. There shall be no military conflict between either state, nor between their constituent vassals or noble Houses. Any breaches of this term shall be resolved through the appropriate diplomatic channels. ARTICLE II: Sovereignty The signatories mutually recognize the other as the sole sovereign state over their respective lands, and all titles affiliated with their respective styling. ARTICLE III: Guarantee of Independence The signatories agree that in the event of a foreign invasion into the Marches, the United Kingdom of Aaun shall come to the defense of its sovereignty. This clause shall remain only as long as the Marches remain neutral in the affairs of the Canonist Kingdoms. ARTICLE IV: Defense against Depravity The signatories shall, in the event of attack from unnatural, occultic, or heretical threats, rise to each other's aid. The Knights of the March will assist in the policing and safeguarding of the Heartlands against these foes, and shall act in utmost cooperation with the law of the land in doing so. ARTICLE IV: Duration This treaty shall remain in effect for ten years (4/24/23) or the duration of the reigns of Uriel Pendraic or Charles I, whichever ends first, unless the clause of article three is broken, in such an event, this pact shall either be considered void. ARTICLE VI: Bench In honor of the recently abdicated Duke of Minitz, and as a show of friendship and cooperation between the two realms, a memorial bench dedicated to Leon Barclay shall be constructed outside the soulstone pillar and heretic-burning-pyre and family event center of Barrowton, to remain there from now until the end of time.
