I. P R E F A C E

The Krovald Merchant Company finds its short history starting in the years following the Aevos Coalition War, founded on the road to the north by the young and visionary Baron of Valcour, Pierre Langlois of House Dresnay. Originally, it started as a way to outreach to other nations as a sign of good faith and willingness to share what little wealth he had left for the benefit of all nations; it has since had time to develop, gathering resources and is ready to open its doors to the world for new members . The Merchant Company holds these values to this day, ready to accept any aspiring tradesmen and forge a good reputation in the nations of the world, the Company  strives to set up shops all across Aevos.

The Krovald Merchant Company’s headquarters are presently located within the Rhosmark, a small region situated within northern Aevos. While the headquarters currently function mainly as a storage facility and meeting place for the members of the company, plans for a larger shop and meeting hall are within the Company's sight.  The headquarters are located in the Rhosmark as it is the founding place and home of the current Proprietor of the Company. Any aspiring merchants first need to make their way to the Rhosmark to have an evaluation done of their potential assets and individual skill sets. Once accepted into the Company’s ranks, individual members are encouraged to seek out their own fortunes using the Company’s resources. Stalls and stores managed by members of the Krovald Merchant Company are expected to report their returns back to the headquarters in the Rhosmark, so that the whole of the company may benefit.

PROPRIETOR OF THE COMPANY

The Proprietor of the Company deals with most of the Company’s operations. Be it foreign outreach, acquisition of resources, or total profits. Furthermore, the Proprietor of the Company delegates what responsibilities befall the Senior Merchants and Tradesmen of the Company whilst managing the more meticulous parts of the Company. Every Senior Merchant reports directly to the Proprietor in cases of emergency or if they have concerns regarding the market or their individual store of items. Tradesmen also report to the Proprietor with their findings from the times on the road, so that the Proprietor may get the most updated information on the world to figure out where to sell and who to sell to. Make no mistake, the Proprietor must also have a shop as well, and contribute their own to the Krovald Merchant Company.

Senior Merchants do have the privilege of pricing their goods how they please and selling what they wish outside of the standard Company merchandise.

Tradesmen are expected to travel the lands taking a few of the Company’s goods with them as they do to sell on the road. Tradesmen also do reconnaissance in cities, checking the trends of what cities buy which goods quickly and which goods customers tend to avoid. Additionally Tradesmen are expected to attempt to attend events hosted in nations across Aevos, such as jousts, carnivals, festivals, and other places of merriment, to attempt to sell goods, however they will not engage in dangerous business and will leave any nation if their business is not welcomed.

IV.  GOODS

As stated above, the Krovald Merchant Company seeks to provide all of Aevos with sufficient resources. But the company does not neglect the general market, and seeks to provide the common folk with what they might need in their daily lives, or on their travels. Be it supplies, tools, gear or other essential quality of life items, the Krovald Merchant Company has what you need.

Krovald Longsword

A plain traveler's longsword. The entire thing from pommel to tip measures 1.3 meters in length, with the blade measuring in at 1 meter in length and the handle at 30 cm. The blade is made of plain steel with no special decorations or engravings, as the weapons main purpose is to keep the traveler safe from the common bandit or wild beast that may disturb their camp. The crossguard featured two juts on the sharp ends of the blade and small rings on the flat sides on the blade. The handle would be made of standard leather for stability and grip. The pommel would be rounded off in a very plain manner, though a Cross of the Lorraine would be engraved on the bottom of it.

Krovald Lute

A 15 string lute with a neck 8 frets long. Wide and hollow in the base the lute has a hole carved in the center of the body to allow for better vibrations. The pegbox has been carved in a fashion to resemble a raven atop the neck of the lute. The bridge that ties the strings to the soundboard had been carved to resemble a sword and the soundboard has been emblazoned with twin ravens on either sides of the strings with the one on the left holding a bag of gold in their left talon and the one on the right holding a skull in their right talon

Rhoswald's Brew

Contained within a rugged flask of hammered copper, Rhoswald's Brew glimmers with a rich, amber hue, hinting at its potent and revitalizing properties. The liquid within swirls and dances with effervescent bubbles, releasing a tantalizing aroma of herbs and spices. Brewed according to an ancient recipe passed down through generations, its taste is refreshing, leaving a lingering warmth in the belly and a renewed sense of strength in the limbs. Held in the hand, the flask exudes a comforting weight and solidity, promising fortitude to those who partake of its contents.

The Wanderer's Charm

A carved wooden totem, this charm depicts Saint Daniel of Al’khazar, bearing the mark of a compass rose etched into the base of the wooden statuette. Its surface, worn smooth by a sanding and polishing process, reflects a soft, iridescent sheen under the light. Despite its simple appearance, the charm is meant to evoke a feeling of safety and luck while traveling. Some say that it has protected them from being robbed!

Krovald Medical Kit

A small leather pack adorned with a Cross of the Lorraine and the Krovald name stitched on the side. If one were to look inside they would find some rudimentary medical supplies including cloth bandages, dried herbs, small tweezers, a largely harmless knife, used only to break skin, and pure alcohol to disinfect.
