The House of Falkner is a Baronial House part of the Azor dynasty, established in the year 1944 I.T. with the union of Odrin Sarkozy Morovar and Camilla von Augusten. The House was founded after the aftermath of the Von Augusten exodus from the United Kingdom of Aaun.

 

The Falkners settled in the nearby Aetherwood, in the Duchy of Brabant; the forest made for an excellent location for the Founder’s skills and interests to flourish, here the House prospers. With their contributions to the Duchy, they gained their Baronial status in the year 1973 I.T

 

The Falkners maintain Waldenian traits, such as a Waldenian accent and the practice of traditional Waldenian livestock rearing, and brewing. Though by ethnicity they are more closely related to Highlanders.

 

Despite hailing from the Azor Dynasty, due to the significant time that has passed since then, the Falkners are distinct in culture and mindset from their ancestors. They prefer a rugged lifestyle, of hunting and relying upon the bounty of nature to meet their needs.

 

In addition to this, the House practices the art of Falconry and Kenneling, as part of its strong hunting tradition.

 

Along with this, the Falkners, due to their knowledge of nature, have developed skills in the practice of herbalism, which has resulted in many Falkners working as potion brewers, medicine makers and medics.

 

The Falkners pay homage to three Saints who most closely symbolise the ideals of the family.

St. Amyas is an obvious patron for the Falkners, giving their skill and craft with herbalism and the medical arts.

 

ST. ARIANNE OF VES

Patron Saint of Archers, the Forest and Servitude

 

Being forested folk, The members of House Falker have a special place in their hearts for St. Arianne, especially considering most Falkners prefer the bow as their weapon of choice.

Patron Saint of Passion, Exiles, Service and the Eighteen Years’ War

 

St. Michael is the Patron of their parent House, the Von Augustens. To the Falkners St. Michael represents their exodus, and along with St. Arianne, their fealty to their new home.
