What circumstances led to this ban?

 

On a forum post calling for legal gay marriage in cannonism, I replied with (in my eyes) a joke. In hindsight the joke may have been offensive and hurtful to some individuals, and it honestly wasn't even that funny.

 

Are there aspects of the ban you agree and/or disagree with?

 

I agree with the ban, I have likely offended and potentially hurt other players and that is justly punished. I disagree with the length of the ban, I still think it too excessive. I have been on the server for a while now and I have seen much heavier rule breaks result in shorter ban times.

 

What motivates you to return to LOTC?

 

I am very motivated to return to lotc because I miss popping in every now and then and roleplaying with the fun community on this server. In the future I will obviously not be actively making the community worse by effectively discriminating a portion of the community. I understand that my comment was rude and uncalled for and I did not take into account that there may be more people reading my comments other than my friends and those people may be hurt by the comment. In the future I aspire to be more mindful of others and refrain from unnecessary rude comments just to get a few laughs from some friends. I would like to emphasize that I have no ill will against any group of people in the community.
