The large cogwheel remains seated in a fiery mound of stone, molten, and dead grassland. It has been two years’ since it has landed, and in those years, the mechanism component has been tinkered on, interacted with, and claimed.

 

A gnarly buzz resonated from within the inner-workings of the cogwheel; boughs of smoke, plumes of steam, and rippling sparks from scalding cast-iron pipes chugged furiously. The invariable voicebox of the automaton technology, much similar to those found in routine smogger-craftsmanship, uttered its system update.

 

“Thou art giveth thy name by Deus ex Machina. Know that this contrivance is in thy name. Be delivered freedom from the fiery clutches of a fallen and cowardly prince. Save thyself, we pray for your salvation.”
