THE LORD SPEAKER HENRIK AMADOR RETIRES THE CHAIR AND THE NEW SPEAKER HAS BEEN ELECTED. The Crown would like to express gratitude towards Lord Amador for his many years of loyal service to the Royal Duma and to our Kingdom. Throughout the entire reign of Ivan VIII and Nataliya I, and for a short period under our liege Marius III, the Lord Amador had maintained order within the halls and served both loyally and productively. Multiple bills were introduced and passed in the hopes to revitalize our capital city following reconstruction. May he find the remainder of his years tranquil and free of stresses as he settles into a life of deserved retirement.

Following the Lords retirement in the Duma Hall, it was time for the boyars to elect his successor. In a tight race between the Duchess of Vidaus, Lady Tatiyana vas Ruthern, and the Margravatal Heir of Kvasz, Lord Sigmund Ludovar, Lady Ruthern managed to score the victory of nine votes to a commendable four. Following the election and confirmation of the Lady Speaker, Lord Ludovar managed to secure the position of Lord Handler.

Lady Ruthern has long served the Kingdom in politics from an early age under the tutelage of the previous Lord Speaker. The newly elected Lady Speaker wishes to breathe fresh air into the Royal Duma by reintroducing term limits for Royal Aldermen as well as the restoration of the Royal Inquisitor, one of which has already been accomplished. The Crown holds no doubt in Her Excellency’s ability to ensure the steady flow of policies and the fair process of our longstanding Duma.
