LETTER TO THE HOLY SEE

A CALL FOR ACTION
IN DEFENSE OF OUR FAITH

        2nd of Sun’s Smile, 1989

To His Holiness and His Curia:

 

Blessings and benedictions, 

 

I kneel upon your holy presence, just as any other faithful subject of our Lord GOD would upon the realization of the spiritual presence of those who serve God almighty and his Vicar, the High Pontiff, the Head of our Faith.

 

I write you this humble letter with sorrow upon hearing that the Sons of Horen have decided to take arms against their own brothers and sisters in faith once again. Upon realizing the existence of the current conflict, I undoubtedly feel spiritually obliged to ask myself some questions as an ordained clergyman of our holy faith: When will this bloodshed cease? When will the Sons of Horen finally unite under the Holy Light and the Holy Cross of GOD once again? When will peace, order and stability be upheld, not just in the Heartlands, but in all Humanity as a whole? 

 

And, especially, I feel compelled to ask myself the following question: Will our Holy Mother Church officially denounce the ongoing pagan and foreign invasion against the sovereignty of a Canonist Realm? Because, make no mistake, the people of Norland and Urguan, who fight alongside Ravenmire in the war, do not profess our holy faith. Instead, they profess false religions and worship false gods. And they hate our religion as much as they hate our Holy Pontiff and His Curia.

 

While I really appreciate the most recent call for peace issued by our Holy Mother Church in the missive On War in the East, I humbly believe that such a missive is clearly insufficient in order to successfully defend our holy faith from the ongoing pagan invasion against our Canondom.

 

After all, this unprecedented attack on the Apostolic Kingdom of Aaun is not simply an invasion against a sovereign country but an invasion on all Canondom as a whole. These foreign pagan invaders shall not cease upon their success in this war. Once they manage to successfully conquer the Apostolic Kingdom of Aaun, they shall continue their campaign until the last of our canonist villages is pillaged and sacked, until the last of our holy chapels and cathedrals are desecrated and burnt down, and until our last ordained clergymen is captured and killed. Because, I assure you that such is the behavior of these vile pagans who reject Canonism and, instead, worship red demons and other false divinities. 

 

I implore you to protect the Covenant of Purity and defend our faith. I humbly ask you to denounce these pagan invaders and their vile intentions and declare a Holy Crusade against the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, the Kingdom of Norland and any other pagan groups who seek to attack and invade our beloved Canondom.
