Within the rift of The Dhurmyc Parasite, Mochou and several others found themselves face to face with a beast unlike anything the mortal realm had produced. The beast had multiple long legs, each encased in a rock-like armor that rendered their swords useless. As they struggled to fight, two of the allies were flung aside, each with a shattered arm. Despite their relentless efforts, the group suffered more injuries—two lost their arms entirely, others had multiple shattered limbs, and countless ribs were bruised  from the attacks of the wretched beast.

But, even with their injuries, the group continued fighting. Soon, it became clear that blunt weapons would do the most damage, the party now opting to use such and discarding their swords. The rock casing finally cracked, revealing decayed, yet somewhat mortal flesh beneath. One, two, three, hit after hit, the beastly monster was struck down. It dissipated into a cloud of dark smoke, leaving behind a disgusting corpse and a pulsating, purple heart.

Mochou moved forth to touch the heart, her left arm throbbing from the shattered humerus. She plucked it from its corpse, inspecting it as her war axe hit the ground. Her left arm bore no more strength, the adrenaline of the battle finally coming to a close.
That purple heart began to swirl and swirl, beating faster and faster. Until that glowing swirling aura began to form into something physical. Another rift. Mochou found herself transfixed by the opening of such, taking her back to the one that opened inside the tea house. But unlike last time, she did not get a choice.
A blinding flash of light ruptured from the melancholic heart. It was as if Mochou was no more; she was whisked elsewhere, within the vast, warped, and brought elsewhere. One thing was certainly clear, she was no longer with the others.

She was gone.

Spoiler

It’s been a wild ride. I’ve been playing this character for a good 8-9 months now. I was planning to leave LOTC once I graduated High School but stayed for a few reasons. Now, in two days I am moving hours away from home and into college. I simply won’t have the time to play LOTC anymore and that has become strikingly apparent. I won’t be gone forever, hence why this is not a PK post. Rather, a hiatus announcement. I plan to return around Christmas, once I get my winter break perhaps. We shall see!
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to my time on LOTC, both negative and positive. You are what made my experience what it is. Thank you to Jun Lei, I love my little li-ren.

And most of all, thank you @Pallodium for this amazing event, even if it ended in Lobby3. You’re great.

Have a good one. o7
Love you.

"This machine knows one of us has died. It is no victory."

Said a protector of steel. For once, it was capable of feeling pain and sorrow. That event had somewhat troubled its empty metal head. From fighting eldritch monsters to seeing comrades die. An experience that it shall remember forevermore as the same woman that died in the battle. Although, it could but find her death meaningless and futile. It shall be more careful next time about fleshkind and their desire to touch dangerous items.

Numendil Designated Fleeper 01 (Authadan) signed the Lorraine upon her disappearance. Mochou was the one encouraged him to hop on this wild ride alongside the other fleepers and he would PRAY for her every day in hopes of her return.

Numendil Designated Fleeper 02 (Raphuel) signed the Lorraine upon her disappearance. Mochou was the one encouraged him to hop on this wild ride alongside the other fleepers and he would PRAY for her every day in hopes of her return.

"Did... we win?"

Raphuel mutters out as he falls back, his mace melting like ice. As the blood melts into a pool beneath his blade. The injuries he had sustained finally came to claim its toll on him. Unable to hold himself up anymore he falls backward, a pool of blood forming around his left leg and the blade. Barely able to stay awake he notices a bright light. Thinking someone had come to save him unable to process what had truly occurred.

Numendil Designated Fleeper 03 (Amdirveren) signed the Lorraine upon her disappearance. Mochou was the one encouraged him to hop on this wild ride alongside the other fleepers and he would PRAY for her every day in hopes of her return.

"Dammned dark abyss... she knows how to handle herself; I pray that she will make it back home."

Making a fist with his right hand, he looks upon the rest of the crowd, and then the felled creature. Looking forth into the darkness ahead as the party rests up and treats their wounds. He gets many thoughts on the situation and wonders if there will be a end in sight for himself, his comrades, and those that are stuck in the rift.

Numendil Designated Fleeper 04 (Canaiddun) signed the Lorraine upon her disappearance. Mochou was the one encouraged him him to hop on this wild ride alongside the other fleepers and he would PRAY for her every day in hopes of her return.

Canaiddun laid down, his left arm was completely shattered from the fight beforehand and he seemed exhausted. As he heard word of Mochou disappearance he'd frown and close his eyes, wishing for nothing but the best for her and that the group who originally came to help here atleast managed to finish the job, so her death was not in vain.

The Elder-most Li-Ren sat by the Bonfire, her arm was shattered, useless and unable to be used. She wondered what had happened to her old student, was she teleported to another location as she did prior? Was she gone for good? Such matters weighed on heavy on her mind. All she knew is that she was too beaten and broken to search for her at the moment...
