The Investigation On The Alleged “Aengul Of Justice,” St. Raguel.

 

 

I, Xavier Adiler, was tasked by Ser Philip the Righteous to uncover the truth about the false Aengul, Raguel, and the corruption he is spreading in our world, to provide further proof to the warnings mentioned in the Book of Auspice.

I have begun gathering statements from various individuals that provide evidence proving this so-called 'Aengul' is not who he claims to be. If anyone has additional information or can testify as a witness to the truth, I ask that you write me a detailed letter so that I may include it in this investigation.

Forgive my formatting as I descend further into flepirhood in my isolation.

 

Any suggestion that would overrule the decision of the Curia is inherently heretical. I made similar suggestions, once, and I do my penance for such now. So, Xavier Adiler, I respect you for not being a coward as I was. But, you are a coward all the same. If this Ser Philip tasked you with gathering this information, it should be he who pens and signs the missive - not you. You divert the blame unto your taskgiver because you know, positively, that your words are heretical, and your suggestions false. You feel shame already, it is evident.

 

Second, your witnesses are all heathens. Heathens, who, irrefutably, would profit from the disregarding of Raguel as illegitimate as it would put the Church under the same scrutiny as Blackspire once was. It would make the most Holy Mother Church, unholy. Evaluate your sources, for your sources are not mere sources. They are not objective facts, transcribed in the moment. They are subjective, biased accounts of events that may have never happened. But this did happen.

 

I saw the ANGEL RAGUEL, True Servant of the Lord, descend from the Skies into Balian. And when I saw him, I was overcome with joy, fervor, and zealotry. And when he bequeathed the twin scepters of Evaristus and Clement onto Brandt Barclay, blessed be his name, and the High Priest, did he allow me to watch. He allowed me to watch as he did the Saint Gerard, for my vocation was his: to spread the message the Most Holy Omnipotent sent him to tell. To address your sources. Firstly, I challenge any and all of them to a duel of words when I am freed to walk. Second, know the holy man and woman of Aaun, the ones who left the fires unscathed. Look them in the eyes and tell them that, as their home, as their sinner friends, were immolated in the mercyflame, that the saintly being who did so was not divine. The individual angel, who has wings, who is canonised, who delivers the Lord’s word, is false. Tell them such, and see what they say. You clearly not only know greed, and naught else, but know too apathy.

Firstly, Janus is no ANGEL. He may he an AENGUL, but he is no ANGEL. He is no true servant of the Lord, and thus, Janus is a DEMON. It is only sensical that St. Raguel, an ANGEL OF THE LORD, a true servant, was not present. And so I ask, further: was St. Michael the Archangel present?

For, his business is known - he is embroiled in hypercrusade against the Void.

 

But, so too is RAGUEL’s business known. Even if he would attend such a session in the Gilded Court, he was indisposed delivering messages unto the living. He was indisposed in slaying L-nre. He delivered dreams unto the righteous, and was embroiled in serving the vocation given to him by the Lord G-D. He placed duty, over fraternity, for he is an angel. That, at its core, is what it means to be one - to prioritize GOD and your duty to him over all else.

 

To the words of SIGRUN:

Firstly, not all aenguls possess a realm. Secondly, Azdromoth the Unredeemed, king-kobold is not inherently malevolent. If a trueborn servant of the Lord that birthed his father came to him to warn him the Skies were closed to the Tribe of Horen, he would surely cherish the knowledge rather than strike down the angel who brought it to him. Lastly, and I cannot emphasise this enough, Raguel is an ANGEL. He has no selfish desire of survival. He has only the Holy vocation the Lord has given him: to spread a message. There is no risk too great for Raguel; Raguel is a wholly devoted messenger of the Lord. Only the Lord’s will guides him, and not his own.

None of these necessitate a refusal of his angelhood. An angel can be seen and worshipped in Kaethul, wrongly, as an idol, and worshipped instead of the Lord G-D. In fact, even I have constructed several statues of the Angel Raguel. Have I thus falsified him altogether? Is he no longer an angel because I made statues to him? I have spoken to Raguel myself, and I say he is true. Where is the evidence you spoke to him? Where is the evidence, if you did, that the contents of this talk thus render him false? Where is the evidence to outweigh the testimony of the dozens of faithful, of the thousands of Aaunites who met the angel and decreed him divine? Can you provide such, or do you prate?

 

To address the last anecdote:

someone touching Raguel’s wings and being incinerated would only be further proof of his divinity. 

 

As a final note overall, I say only this. A Xionist came to the Holy See with the intent to challenge the angel Raguel, and so he instantly perished upon touching him. A Xionist, of the True Word, who desires nothing but the total death of the divines, wanted to kill Raguel. Why would that be? As you seem largely unable to draw your own, empirical conclusions, I shall tell you: for he is divine.

For a good investigation must be based upon facts that you are able to establish for the sub-entity classification of such a being you describe. One speaks of what of a false aengul is, but one must now delve into what is the truth of an Aengul. Do you understand what entails a proper aengul and what such entails?

I am unsure of such, but does granting their powers or worshipping courlandic entities allow for their existence to be acknowledged.

Either or, something that must be discussed is how such an entity can grant their blessings to one another.

 

Valuing the expertise of many, you must see that many have been blessed by your subject and have seen their angered wrath.

I am truly unsure of what you could class as something that many would see as truth, when the existence of an aengul of lizard proportions shall be the baseline.

Kindred of mine understand this, but they do not suffer your mind drooping anxiety.

 

Elsewhere, many could preach such a falsehood and claim it’s truth without promise, yet who are you trying to convince?

Lovers do embrace one another, such as many embrace the grasp of the aengudaemon.

 

All that must be said is, that the true blessing of an aengul shall be seen and found from the titled novellas that will be published soon within the liberal city of magi.
