even though this was never a rule, and only a rule towards combat items.
if this was made into a rule i'd 100% agree with it.

You dont need an item with a description to roleplay an item, a simple vanilla item would do just fine. I think enforcing this would be good. If you can spend 250mina to 10-25$ for a decent armour skin, you can spend time roleplaying through trade to get the amount of items required to make armour.

edit: this would also force nations that pretend to have awesome knights to actually have awesome knights that dont get wiped or give up during wars.

This was what I was trying to get at to be honest, just a basic set of iron or netherite should be sufficient but just for the sake that you actually have something to represent what you're wearing.

Does this also include needing to have a suit of armour in your inventory if you want to wear one in RP?

This one has been on my mind lately as there are people that only put on an armour skin without carrying any sort of armour in their inventory.

This guy is on to something. This is 100% how it should be.
