Background

After witnessing an alchemical blunder, the head of the Haeseni Alchemy guild Osgod Colborn and his students went to work, trying to find a way to undo future mistakes, or allow people more freedom to experiment with Alchemy.

Recipe

Base: Aqua Vitae

x3 impediment

x2 weakness

x1 separation

x1 endurance
x2 Instability: Aether

Creation

After extracting the proper symbols, mix them one after another in a cup of Aqua Vitae and let it all dissolve. Heat a large pot of water to its boiling point, then take off the heat before adding the mix in and stirring. While the water is still hot, in the pot, put the alchemically treated item and leave it in for 3 narrative hours. The liquid can be contained until use, but will have to be reheated before applied.

Effects

Soaked in the liquid for 3 narrative hours, an alchemically treated item will lose the properties given to it by the treatment.

Redlines:

- Items not soaked for the entire duration will not have time to properly dissolve the treatment properties.

- Soaking the item beyond the needed duration will not have any effect.

- Can be used on one item before losing its effect.

- Can NOT be used in combat.
- Can untreat alchemy treated Ironwood as well as Frost Salts as well, but the materials used in treating the item will dissolve and can not be used again.

- T2 common

- does not require an ST sign

It's good to see some new ideas, and it fills a purpose.

This sound like it would be rare, not common.

Also what is the point with removing something from an alchemically treated item?

This Lore has been accepted. Moved to Implemented Lore, it will be sorted to it's appropriate category soon. Please note that if this is playable lore, such as a magic or CA, you will need to write a guide for this piece. You will be contacted regarding the guide (or implementation if it isn’t needed) shortly.
