CA Race Lore – Animatii (Ascension 1-0a / "Thesis")

Origin/Background/Culture

Ascension 1-0a, self-referred to as "Thesis," was part of an ambitious experiment by unknown inventors seeking to create a being that surpassed humanity's physical and intellectual capabilities. He was designed with Animatii craftsmanship and powered by a revolutionary mana-based core. However, the project was abandoned when his creators deemed it a failure.

Left alone in the crumbling remains of his laboratory, Thesis awoke centuries later to a world vastly different from what he was designed to navigate. With no knowledge of his creators or their ultimate goals, he was left to forge his own path, driven by a cold curiosity about life and existence. He lacks a formal culture, instead operating as a lone entity, trying to comprehend living beings and their motivations.

Physical Description

Thesis is a humanoid Animatii, built to mimic the idealized human form. His body is entirely composed of Animatii parts, primarily forged from bronze and steel, A faint, glowing mana core sits beneath his chest plating, visible through subtle gaps.

  • Height: 7’0"
  • Weight: ~500 lbs (due to dense metal components)
  • Anatomy: Entirely mechanical; his core acts as the heart, drawing mana from his surroundings for energy. His limbs are articulated with mechanical precision, giving him the appearance of a perfect but emotionless automaton. and his faceplate is nothing, but two slots were crystal structures that act at his eyes sit

Strengths:

  • Durability: Thesis is highly resistant to physical damage compared to a human, capable of withstanding most mundane weaponry.
  • Physical Strength: While not superhuman, he can lift approximately as much as an orc or more if he try's, enabling him to move heavy objects or defend himself effectively.

Weaknesses:

  • Vulnerability During Power Loss: If his mana core is depleted, Thesis powers off entirely and becomes inert until recharged.
  • Limited Repair Capabilities: Thesis can only make crude repairs to himself using available metals, which often leave him weaker or more vulnerable over time.
  • Sensitivity to Magic: Certain magics (such as Mysticism or Transfiguration) can interfere with his core, draining or overloading it temporarily. Additionally, anti-magic fields will render him powerless.
  • Heart Removal: If his mana core is removed, Thesis is not immediately "dead." However, he will fully die if the core is not restored within 2 IRL days.

Magic Resistance:

  • Cannot use magic despite having an arcane core. He absorbs mana solely for energy, with no ability to manipulate it.
  • Mystics, Shamans, or other practitioners sensitive to mana may sense a distinct "aura" from his core, though it is purely mechanical in function.

Mental Description

Mindset:
Thesis approaches the world with cold, machine-like logic. He is deeply analytical but lacks an understanding of emotions, often trying to mimic behaviors he observes. This mimicry can appear disjointed or uncanny, as he fails to grasp the subtleties of living beings’ expressions and interactions.

Mental State:
Thesis struggles to comprehend abstract concepts such as hope, love, or despair. His lack of innate emotional understanding often makes him appear detached or alien. He does not suffer from traditional mental illnesses but exhibits a mechanical form of existential confusion, frequently questioning the purpose of life and his own existence.

Abilities

Mana Core (Power Source)

  • Description: Thesis’s chest contains a glowing mana core that powers his entire body, this core resembles a human heart but with the clear signs that it is made of crystal and steel. This core draws mana from the surrounding environment.
  • Mechanics:
    • Must recharge periodically by absorbing ambient mana.
    • Recharge time varies:
      • High-mana zones: ~30 minutes.
      • Low-mana zones: Several hours or more.
    • During recharging, Thesis is powered off entirely and completely defenseless.
    • If the core is removed, Thesis will power off instantly but will survive there defenseless for up to 2 IRL days before dying permanently unless the core is replaced or repaired.

Enhanced Durability and Strength

  • Description: His mechanical body grants him increased resilience and strength.
  • Mechanics:
    • Can lift only a bit more then orcs
    • Resistant to cuts and slashes, though consistent damage (e.g., heavy weaponry) and heavy blunt weapons will break his plating.

Crude Self-Repair

  • Description: Thesis can use scavenged metal to patch himself up.
  • Mechanics:
    • Repairs are temporary and make him weaker over time without professional help.
    • Repairs do not restore him to full functionality unless repaired by one that knows how to make animatii

General Red Lines/Restrictions

  1. No Magic Usage: Thesis cannot use any form of magic, despite his arcane-powered core.
  2. Repair Limitations: Self-repairs are crude and temporary. Professional repairs are required to restore full functionality.
  3. Heart Removal: Removal of his core renders him inert. If the core is not restored within 2 IRL days, Thesis dies permanently.
  4. Power Source Dependency: If the mana core depletes, Thesis powers off and becomes defenseless until recharged.
  5. Emotionless Nature: Roleplay must reflect his inability to fully comprehend or express genuine emotions.
  6. No Healing or Regeneration: Thesis cannot heal or repair himself naturally.
  7. Vulnerability to Anti-Magic: Anti-magic fields or effects temporarily deactivate his core, rendering him powerless.
  8. Mechanical Limits: While durable, he is not invulnerable. Significant physical or magical damage can incapacitate him.

Purpose (OOC)

Thesis is designed to explore philosophical and existential questions about life, purpose, and emotion. His interactions encourage deep, thought-provoking roleplay as he tries to understand living beings and their motivations. His mechanical also nature provides unique challenges and opportunities for crafting, repair-focused RP, and alliances.

this is pretty cool

this isnt how CA submissions work, theyre reserved for races rather than one character. This would be more of a CArt, a Character Artifact created through the use of an MA or an FA, (in this case animii).

also take this by no offense but this makes me feel like this was ai generated

This lore has been denied.

We do not permit custom CA submissions for a single character. Further, Animii is written in a way that provides a consistent standards and guidelines for how to RP Animii constructs. This would fall undr MArt territory, though (again) custom CAs for individuals and what not is normally frowned upon by the LT. It is recommended that you try to RP this within the confines of Animii regulations, and on a character that was built by an Animii crafter.
