Smmer 2441 Share Posted December 15, 2024 Can a rule be made on figuras that have strobing pulsating lights which can cause seizures/epileptic fits need an looc request/consent before you toggle ur golden aura. also tell ur mods to stop pushing crp ONLY culture when pvp has always been part of lotc. To laugh at a player making a comment that 'pvp history is being erased in favor of a hugbox' just proves to me theyre incapable of giving a proper opinion outside of ones that benefit themselves, if theyre going to be super bias (KEK) and favor one over then the future of lotc is so obvious we might as well turn off pvp now to save you guys a few years trying to abolish it from the map. I cannot stand hugboxes, I cannot stand the lack of attempt at pushing repercussions on nation nls let alone the enforcement of consequences. This is why you guys have to keep doing map changes and rushing them, half the maps still unfixed w floating trees and bad terrain. How longer can you stand to watch a server stagnate so rapidly because people are far to attached and unwilling to accept FATE im bored, im tired, this server is so lame (with many people either leaving long term prior to the holidays or only coming online during the holidays with their free time to **** around temporarily) without any ruling enforcements actually making the map fun in terms of rp and crp. Its your job to moderate. Do it, by not making it a rule youre legally the ones responsible for letting someone end up in hospital cause they choked on their own spit from someone spamming a strobe figura because for to long has it gone unmoderated that people think its okay to do it, such a rule is simple to enforce and throw into the etiquette. Hacked clients aren't part of the server. The moderation team offers their ruling on them: they're not allowed. It might be common courtesy, but it's also common courtesy not to tell someone to kill themselves. Things like that still happen, and moderation rules on them. I don't really understand this stance when the server obviously holds rulings on topics on mods, clients, etc. that aren't server-supported as well as general behaviours off-platform that could have consequences on-platform. These are ruled on because it's in the community's interest. There's no reason why this shouldn't officially apply to Figura as well. If someone decided to roam the server with a nude Figura, that obviously wouldn't be okay. I'm not a photosensitive epileptic and while I've never experienced it personally, flashy Figura avatars shouldn't be allowed on the server either because of the health risk they can pose to photosensitive players. It is admittedly a low statistic of people who have it, however there is a reason why you'll see most every game give warnings when they know their games could pose a risk. It's a serious issue that can lead to serious consequences, especially to players who might not even realise they have it and don't have the appropriate measures in place to deal with it. With young people being more affected by photosensitive epilepsy as well as being the server's main demographic, I think Moderation should make some sort of official stance against flashy Figura avatars. I'd even say it should make official rulings against Figura avatars in general because I'm not sure if it's really appropriate for Figura users to have to witness an elfess with swaying breasts that are obviously intended to bring some sense of sex appeal to the character. 2 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

It’s client side, and it’s not used to hack or garner an unfair advantage nor is it remotely offensive to have flashy things. Just turn the model off and call it a day and if someone is like being purposefully harmful with something, just report it to moderator. If they get an epileptic fit, their last worry should be staying on the server to report it. Unfortunately, it's not something mods can easily manage or overseer, as some don't have figura, and generally they can't "approve" beforehand models because it's a thing people spend money on. There is no easy solution, or not a solution at all, to the problem you are bringing forward. Because, even if moderators start to moderate this shit. They have no tool to get "warned" beforehand about these kinds of bad actors. So, no matter what, following your logic, people will get an epileptic fit regardless.
