Lair Lore (supply link to an existing creature or other lore if being used as basis for this lair) (1000 words minimum):

The Black Sepulchre is the heart of the Cult of the Damned, a sub-coven of the Kuruibi Horde, a secretive faction of necromancers, demon-worshippers, and the twisted progeny of the abyss. Unlike many necromantic sects, the Cult of the Damned owes no allegiance to any patron deity or ancient power. Instead, it is a congregation of free-willed darkspawn, beings born of both mortal and infernal blood, who came together not under divine instruction, but out of a shared desire for freedom and control over their own fates. The members of the Black Sepulchre are not bound by the whims of any god, they are bound only by their own will. A will that thrives on the pursuit of knowledge, power and the transcendence of death itself. Though no singular patron deity governs them, the coven has developed a unique relationship with Khorvad, the dwarven god of death and ambition.

Leading the Black Sepulchre is Thorim Blackheart, a dwarf of indomitable will and unyielding ambition. Once a revered cleric of Ogradhad, Thorim found his devotion to the god of magic false and was not enough to quench his thirst for power. Rejecting the doctrines of traditional dwarven faith, Thorim cast aside his holy duties and began his journey into necromancy, allying himself with demonic beings, vampires, and the forsaken denizens of the dark realms. Under his rule, the Black Sepulchre has grown into a powerful lair of necromantic power, a place where all manner of beings, living and dead, can seek knowledge, power, and a place to call their own.

The Black Sepulchre is not simply a lair of necromantic power; it is a place of learning and ascension. Much like the legendary Scholomance, the Black Sepulchre is a secretive academy of dark knowledge, learning the ways of necromancy, and unlocking the forbidden secrets of life and death. The Sepulchre’s halls are adorned with ancient tomes, relics of lost civilizations, and scrolls inscribed with eldritch runes. It is here that students, followers, and scholars come to study the dark arts.

No topic is too taboo; no ritual too dangerous. The Sepulchre embraces knowledge without restraint, offering its members the opportunity to bend the laws of nature to their will.

At the heart of the Sepulchre stands the Chamber of the Damned, a vast, cavernous room filled with a giant leaping hole in the middle there the scar of Heith-Heidran reside, allowing the necromancers to conduct their most secretive rituals.

At each of the four corners of the Black Sepulchre lies a towering edifice, each dedicated to one of the central pillars of the Cult of the Damned: Constructs, Magic, Plague, and Military. These towers represent the fundamental forces that drive the Black Sepulchre, each a unique domain of study, practice, and influence. Within these imposing structures, the coven’s most powerful and ambitious members seek to perfect their craft, advance their dark agendas, and safeguard the future of the Sepulchre.

The Tower of Constructs is where death and craftsmanship meet, creating a terrifying constructs of life and the mechanical. Here, skilled artificers, golemancers, necromancers and magicians labor tirelessly to create the Sepulchre's most terrifying creations.

The Tower of Magic is the heart of all arcane learning within the Black Sepulchre. Here, the boundaries of magic are pushed to their breaking points, experimenting with necromancy, blood magic, and the forbidden arts of the dark realms. This tower is a place where apprentices and masters alike study the deepest, most dangerous secrets of magic.

The Tower of Plague is dedicated to the study of diseases, toxins, and the manipulation of biological decay. Here, the coven's necromancers and alchemists  seek to harness the power of illness and decay, crafting plagues and diseases.

The Tower of Military serves as the base of operations for the Black Sepulchre’s army. Here, the art of combat is studied alongside necromantic strategies, creating an elite force of warriors. The cult’s military force is responsible for defending the Sepulchre, expanding its influence, and conducting operations in the world.

Beneath the sprawling halls of the Black Sepulchre, hidden deep within its labyrinthine structure, lies a forbidden place known only to the highest-ranking members of the cult: The Crypt of the Unbroken. This secret underground dungeon is a chilling, solemn space, reserved for the resting of those who have transcended death—liches and draugr. It also serves as a prison for the most dangerous and uncontrollable undead—those who have broken free from their masters’ wills.

The Crypt is divided into several distinct sections, each serving a different purpose in the containment and rest of the undead. Unlike the cold clinical rooms of the towers above the Crypt feels ancient, as though the very stones are haunted by centuries of death. The deeper one goes into the Crypt, the more oppressive and stifling the air becomes, heavy with the weight of centuries of suffering, silence, and the remnants of lost souls.

Why can this group not fulfill their roleplay niche in an existing settlement or nation? (Give a detailed answer and examples of how this has not worked in the past.):

The cult of the damned is already exposed as a necromancer group therefore attempting to create yet another hideout would fail due to the ooc nature of the players. First hideout was exposed in Urguan. Then the second in Petra for similar reasons. Now the cult has grown so big it deserves its own place somewhere on the edge of the world where free necromancers and other darkspawn can scheme and enjoy their own space. Main idea is to have a roleplay hub for the free willed darkspawn free from any beings control where we don’t have to crp our every interaction.

How does this lair add to the greater world around it? How will its existence benefit its roleplay group and the server at-large?:

The Black Sepulchre introduces a faction rising in power, creating a backdrop of intrigue, rivalries and potential for hidden plots, as different factions in the world might vie for control, knowledge, or an alliance with the necromancers in secrecy. Necromancers might offer forbidden knowledge in exchange for services or sacrifices creating both plot hooks and personal stakes for characters involved allowing for roleplay based on intrigue, secrets, and long-term consequences.

This is a crazy thing to say. I don't think the Church, or any group for that matter, are individually entitled to a specific name, sequence of words, influences, etc. Don't gatekeep, let them have their fun and use the name they want to use. It'd be as silly as someone in Haense contacting another nation OOCly and saying "Guys, you cannot reference Sigismund in any of your organisations because he is associated with us." If it causes confusion in RP at any point, address it by calling them something else publicly IRP. Don't try stamping out their name on a lair app because you and others feel entitled to it.

It’s not exactly an unreasonable request. If someone made an organization called the Purifiers then it wouldn’t be unreasonable for the Red Faith guys to reach out and ask. It’s not saying they can’t reference anything, just to not use the outright name

This would be very unreasonable, especially considering how nondescript "Purifiers" is

First time hearing of the group as well, but this lair is amazing!!

They are a sub-group of the Kuruibi horde(my group) and went out to do their own thing. They have been roleplaying a bit around, even without the horde main force. They are probably going to be their own group and stuff without us.

I mean this is a crazy overreaction crevel

Two groups with the same name doesn't benefit anyone but if he doesnt want to he doesn't have to, you're pouring gasoline on a line suggestion with this entitlement stuff, chill out

confusion in RP can be good. if people see the obvious darkspawn lair as a church thing, let them, doesn't harm anyone or ruin any engagement with either side. wouldn't be the first time someone's used the same name as something in the past for a lair/group.
