In the late hours of the eve 17th of the Deep Cold 215SA an attempted murder of multiple citizens was made by an armed assailant upon the rooftops of Celia’nor. The armed assailant seemingly wore a cyan bandana across his mouth and nose, sporting average living attire, equivalent to a shirt and button-down brown vest atop that. A stetson hat atop his head with seemingly plain and unassuming features of average height. This individual fights akin to that of an opportunistic predator, moving from rooftop to rooftop in order to secure an easy shot.

Stopped initially by a Lady Eir and Miss Maiya, the unassuming man was questioned for being on the rooftop but eventually let go after some back and forth reasoning and it being too dangerous to get him down on account of him drawing his crossbow in ‘self defense’ in accordance with the guards own weapons being drawn.

A peaceful de-escalation quickly turned bloody when this masked man; called the Crosslinger for short, for the purposes of identification until his actual name can be put forth - decided to hunt down innocent civilians within the city for his own amusement and entertainment. Whether he sought to kill or just maim, a clear and obvious disregard for the lives of others was shown.

Miss Maiya was subsequently grievously wounded and didn’t receive immediate treatment in her isolated position of the city, whilst Lady Siofra Mah’nel was equally wounded in this initial confrontation. Quickly following suit Lady Eir was shot, suffering a wound that speared all the way through her as shots were fired from the rooftops adjacent to the palace - at which point Lady Amethil who was seemingly drugged or intoxicated began to collapse. Luciiael Silveira grabbed the drugged noble, shielding her from harm beneath his towershield, and dragged her over to the wounded Lady Eir Maor before shepherding them both to cover to treat them and heading back out into the streets to search for more injured or signs of the assailant. During this time a helpful bystander of Numenost and an assisting family member of the Mah’nels found and treated Lady Siofra who had valiantly made a last stand to drag Miss Maiya to safety at the cost of her own safety, a bolt finding her spine in a tragic act of barbarism. Valaendir Ciradyl fought the Crosslinger bolt for bolt, trading fletching for fletching as the criminal wove amongst the spires of the city, and is believed to have driven off the man after making it too difficult for him to pray upon innocents.

Known injured at this time include a Miss Maiya who suffered grievous wounds but has since been stabilised thanks to the quick thinking of Lady Siofra Mah’nel and the fast-acting medical aid provided by Lady Mika Glanaeri. Lady Siofra Mah’nel is believed to be en route to making a full recovery without permanent injury or scarring. Lady Eir Maor’s wounds were treated and she is now believed stable without further complications. Lady Uriella Amethil remains unconscious, for how long remains to be seen… The Diraar as of this moment have not recovered the perpetrator.

Signed Luciiael Silveira, Laura’vir of Celia’nor,

Lord of Mount Kaelin, Royal Councillor of Magical Affairs,

Knight of the Royal Ibarellan Line

An uninvolved elfess snickered as she came across a flyer in the streets, rolling her eyes at what she deemed to be absurdity. "They didn't manage to catch a lone ferryman? Sh*t, just when you think the diraar have hit rock bottom too!" With another laugh she abandoned the paper and returned to her home.

"It's almost like fighting someone who can always take cover behind a roof is really complicated..." Commented Iheiuh, facepalming."Never fought, huh?"

"There was one armed and armoured Diraar present. Everyone else was either not armed or not a member of the Diraar; even I that was only a civilian and acted in what manner I could to protect Lady Eir and Lady Amethil. All of which were on the street whilst the assailant was on the rooftop, able to move with ease. A truly terrible occurrence that can only be stopped in the future by systematic changes that prevent combatants from traversing the rooftops." Lucy commented following the post, to explain to some individuals reading that had expressed concern.

Now within the safety of his own home Valaendir Ciradyl read the missive made. He frowned seeing Maiya too was one of the injured. "If I even come across that sad excuse of a man again..." He muttered, putting his anger aside for now. Having decided to check on Maiya first.

"Seems like the mage training really fell off in Celia'nor - a single crossbow-wielder? I gotta hire this guy." Quipped Arthur to his Atronach, which was programmed to always agree with him.

A Wanderer long moved on peers over the bounty that was passed along to her. She found amusement in the situation, considering her own experiences and how she easily dealt with them when they occurred by herself. She wonders, how far a star can fall?

From deep within her comatose state when one reads the missive outloud next to her, Uriella's able to hear it. Really? That happened? And they decided to throw in that I was drunk? Whatever was it I definetly wasnt drunk, it must have been that blister I felt on my ankle when doing a herb run. She spoke to herself in limbo, unable to make true word in reality or even remembering the situation fully.

An exasperated medic sighs.

"You know, maybe medical attention would've been administered more safely and effectively if the clinic ever answered their damn mail."

Castien is known to hold grudges, and being scorned by a clinic is no exception.

"I tried for years, but nooo. Hell, even could tell them that if there is a threat on the roof, get inside? Get everyone inside? If you're not ushering people out of range, you're practically asking for them to get hurt. Obviously."

An Uruk of the Mâdraki tribesmen looked upon the poster. Though he was not literate in the words of man, he understood the pretense of someone being pasted amongst a missive. He grinned, and the papyrus was crumbled within his green palm.

"The World Walker seems to be more than just a bored man... praise be the law of nature. Let the world be free."

Amou sat in a desolate room, reading over missives a couple of birds had collected for him, before eyeing the wanted poster. His eyes scanned it momentarily, a giant smile on his face appearing; "How can a cross-slinger stop the true hearted Diraar?" The smile faded as he shook his head, his eyes buffering for a moment as he leaned back in his leather chair. "I knew I recognized you, old Bar friend.. I think I still owe you a hundred mina.. Well, I'll find ye' either way but not to turn you in hopefully." The creature folded the missive before placing it aside, before standing upwards and passing the several bird cages within before out the door he goes.
