A great victory has been won. The up-jumped bandits who call themselves the Vinovian Company dared to attack the allies and citizens of the Holy Mother Church, capturing Regent Vangelis Mareno and demanding a ransom. They proclaimed that the bill was due and expected us to break upon their walls. Yet, instead of paying with the gold they desired, we of the Holy Army paid them back with blood.

 

The battle that followed showed the superiority of the faithful of God over the Vinovians who claim they wish to liberate us from a corrupt church. Their walls were seized, their gates overcome, their soldiers slain, and their leaders dragged in chains back to Numenost where they faced the justice of the one true God.
