There was something in this world that we lost along the way. Something so primitive and animalistic. Something that we seek to replace in faith and the placing of trust in infallible Saints and Divines. Even to those of the misguided and damned path of Darkness. Do you know what it is? I do, do you? 

 

If you do not know the answer, that is satisfactory. Hardly anyone does. 

 

What is faith? Whether it be through the faith of Canon, the placing of trust in the children of God, or something Damned like Xionism. Or any of the other numerous branching faiths that have roots in Ibleesian consorting. What does it seek to replace? 

 

Unity.

 

A simple answer for a concept so laced in centuries upon centuries of misconception and false pretense. What is unity to you? The utopian thought of the joining hands of all Descendantkind to push Iblees and his corruption out of our realm? Or is it the complete damnation of the world in some hellish act of reconstruction? Like the conquest of Gazardiael from centuries ago or the Inferi war that plagued old Arcas. Or maybe you’d rather see God and His Divine children descend unto us from the clouds to set the world right and clean?

 

All fair answers, truly. But they all feel the same. For they are all the same. They all stem from the same, flawed thought: “Recourse will come to us through the sacrifice of all. For there is no other option or better alternative.” 

 

But, there is. All you have to do is open your eyes to it. It has come to us before in a flittering shimmer of Silver. Iconography and symbols of Stags and deer. 

 

Purity.

 

I do not say Purity in some ethnocentric way like that of Haelun’or. Let it be known that they have long since perverted that ideal and word. I am sure Larihei would be very proud of that. Setting my emotions aside, I say Purity in the way it was intended when it was given to Tahariae from God. Unmarred, untouched, Descendantkind and Mortal realm. In a way both the Canonists and Xionists have the right idea. Though I find the Xionists are much closer in their conclusion. For which I then pose the question; how do you achieve a Pure mortal realm for Descendantkind? 

 

In Xionist thought they believe it is through the forceful removal of Divine beings and those that would claim Divinity, whether true or false, from the Realm. To which there is a merit and truth to. For what happened to Aegis? Arcas? The slaying of Xan by Azdromoth? But, a warped message will continue to be spoken out of tune. 

 

For all the good and truth in the conclusion of Xionism. It has long been tainted by its consorting and fraternising with Ghosts andNecromancy. There is no Purity in marring your body to harbor things that were not meant to be there. And there is no Purity in replacing divinity with fallible man prone to bouts of corruption and horror. You will be stuck forever in the cycle that led Descendants to our current situation.

 

While the Canonists also have a fraction of the right idea. They are doomed to repeat a cycle of violence and predation to everything that would be different from Canonism. Too stuck in their prideful, arrogant ways of supremacy. They, too, stuck forever with repeating the same cycle that led us to now. 

So I ask of you, reader, the question: How would you see a Unified and Pure world for Descendantkind made?
