Azdrazi Corruption - New Necromancy Addition

With the new necromancy rewrite being posted, I figured this ongoing amendment would serve well to help put to ease a transition from lore interaction from one piece to another. This is a specific rework of current Necromantic Corruption within Azdrazi Lore, and should be implemented upon successful acceptance of Zarsies and Mordus’ Necromancy Rewrite. I figured it be a good idea to put this out ahead of time so it can be considered and modified as needed. I figured since Azdrazi have always been described to me by others as 'Anima Rich', allowing necromancers to harvest 2 anima from them rather then 1 was an interesting way to show this. This also is to put at ease on the idea that necromancers will just be hard 'countered' by Azdrazi, and show that the magic does serve as a weakness to the CA. I also wish to heavily discourage Azdrazi using 'pocket necromancers' to garner a supply of Hexed items; thus a simple blanket of if they possess any hexed object it causes corruption was the best way to apply this.

Necromancy

Maledictions

- Darkening will corrupt 1 unit per 2 emotes that it is sustained.

- Cauterization will corrupt 1 unit per 2 emotes that it is sustained.

- Bursting’s tainted gore will corrupt 1 unit if it makes contact.

- All Pestilence plagues will corrupt 2 units for their duration, but will never last beyond 2 OOC weeks unless they OOCly wish to.


Darkstalker

Paramount

- Enwreathe Abyssfire will corrupt 1 unit per hit.

- Invoke Abyssfire will corrupt 1 unit per hit.

- Khôr Blades will corrupt 0.5 unit per hit.

General Necromancy

-Leech and Siphon will corrupt 1 unit upon the first emote of contact, and another unit after 2 additional emotes of being sustained, and would find the physical deteriorations twice as impactful upon their person then a normal descendent.

-Entering into entombed land will corrupt 2 units of life force, the unnatural taint of the land being uncomfortable to bear. These 2 corrupted units will be removed upon exiting the Entombed Land.

-Subjected to the SoulSteal spell shall corrupt 1 unit of dragonsflame.

-Possessing a Grafted Limb will corrupt 1 unit of dragonsflame.

 

Reaving

-Taint will corrupt 1 unit upon successfully being administered, with the addition of the curse/pestilence manifesting immediately rather then after combat.

-Blight will corrupt 1 units when standing within the tainted land should an Azdrazi enter it. Should they persist within these lands for three emotes, the corruption will permanently stay until cleansed as well as any illnesses or diseases contracted by being within the blighted land.

 

Occultism

-Abyssfire will corrupt 1 unit upon successful contact with the Azdrazi, and leave them staggered and writhing in pain for [1] emote longer then a normal mortal.

-Being within an 8 block radius of a Black Bonfire with corruption 1 unit of dragonsflame until the radius of the Black Bonfire is left.

-Holding a Hexed Item inside their inventory will corrupt 3 units of dragonsflame after [5] emotes or [15] irl minutes of possessing it as the unnatural geist seeps into their bodies twisting and tainted life force. Relinquishing the Hexed item will uncorrupt the units after [5] emotes, providing they have not held onto the item for longer then [1] ooc hour.

-Being subjected to any Hexed item’s effects will corrupt 1 unit of dragonsflame, additionally their effects will be effective upon them TWICEFOLD (with the exception of Taingiest, which will follow the same rules of taint corruption under Reaving).

-Being subjected to Dissection will corruption 1 unit of dragonsflame for the recovery of a minor wound, and 2 units for the recovery of a major wound.

 

Wights

-An unconscious Azdrazi being husked as a living puppet by a wight will find the experience horrendous, corrupting 1 unit of dragonsflame every 3 emotes the Azdrazi is being husked as a puppet as externally twisted life force coils and slowly stiffens their raging inner flame.

 

Additionally, Azdrazi possess greater stores of anima compared to other creatures due to their raging inner flame. Upon the successful completion of a Leech/Siphon/Soul Steal spell upon an Azdrazi, 2 units of Anima are harvested from the Azdrazi rather than the traditional 1 found in other descendents.

Stop jumping the gun and getting excited. Wait for it to actually be approved before submitting a lore amendment. It just clogs the forums.
