An elderly Professor, now confined to his manor most days as his health fluctuates, reads over the missive intently. When complete, he gives a pleased smile. It’s good to see that the youth of the Canonist realms are still so well-educated.

ooc aside: why has “haha you wrote a lot, i ain’t reading all that” become such a popular “gotcha” response on a writing server?

Because they want to write it off as irrelevant and feel cool about it, but it just looks bad. It's not even that long a read. I read it in a few minutes.

They just don't want to pay attention to it because they disagree with anything we say IRPly, regardless of it's legitimacy. Length doesn't matter.

Dima hoped that surely those reading this would understand that the Veletz war was not a holy war, and that therefore, allied nations did not matter as much as a war over GOD did. Then again, she realized that understanding was a difficult concept for the Church...

With an inkling of spare time during the march to the Petra, a rare opportunity only afforded to officers in the depths of wars such as these, Galar Ithelanen reads the open letter penned by the southerner. Although the looming battle captures his attention for now, and shall for the next few weeks, his mind cannot help but prepare a response.

"House de Savoie has always been a great patron of the Church, with St. Olivier de Savoie, Fidei Defensor, serving as as great example thereof. May God bless this house," says Aetirix, Swaziland-unable-to-join-the-warclaim-icus.

Reinhard eyes the letter with a dull interest - his jagged pupils combing through each word. Taking a small breath, he lowered the parchment. "What good will words do? Everyone knows this war ist nonsensical." Between the fingers of one clawed, inked hand he folded the letter before his head leant back and he horns hung over the back of his chair. And then the devil was forced to consider what he was fighting for. It did not matter where the world went, afterall, he would never truly have a place in it except that which he meticulously carved. And, of course, betrayal still strung deeply.

"Lung... Very lung" He'd nod.

The young Boy rather quickly, gave up on trying to Read.

"Lung indeed," Mons agreed with his son. He read the missive in full before his fireplace, nodding in appreciation of the young Savoyard's writings.

"Their relentless insistence on invoking Sigismund’s name in their letters as if their lives depend on it is not only undermining their own cause but also doing a great disservice to Sigmund's status as prophet of the faith. If they continue, it will be their actions that ultimately lead to the official removal of Sigismund as a prophet by the Church and the subsequent revocation of the Scroll of Auspice." remarked Father Marc upon reading the missive, before shaking his head and throwing the missive into the fire.

"The Curia can't just revoke a Holy Scroll, what drugs are these people on. Still, it shows how lost are those who follow the Curia." remarked Sergei.

"Ecumenical Councils can effectively change Canon Law." remarked Father Marc "Nonetheless, I am a firm believer and defender of Sigismund as a Prophet of the Faith and of the Scroll of Auspice."

"Yes, Ecumenical Councils can indeed change Canon Law, but no Law can deny the legitimacy of the Holy Scrolls." said Sergei

Elsii’mah took the missive from her kid-brother. “Let me try..” The girl stared at it for a good long while. “Er…” Before quickly tossing the missive into the fire.

She couldn’t read either.
