Yes, you know it. The oreo milkshake there slaps! 2. Most formative in shaping my role-play has been the following series: - A Song of Ice and Fire - Witcher (Books), Witcher 3 (Game) - Pulp Fantasy (Like Elric of Melnibone, if that qualifies) - Magician: Apprentice, Magician: Master (Raymond Feist) For writing style, I paid very close attention to the work of Ernest Hemingway. I like things that snap and pop, rather than something more long-form. I like prose that is built for fast responses and quick time character reactions. I read mostly self-help or horror. Salem's Lot by Steven King is a great book, I like it way more than IT (which just gets grotesque at points beyond horror). In terms of "self-help", I really love As a Man Thinketh and The Twelve Hour Workweek. But I wouldn't recommend them to you. Or at least the perception of Esterlen. The name was a mix of 'Derpy' and 'Darfey' who is an actual Canonist, I synthesized the two to make a mockery of the Church because I loathed Pureimp10's run as High Pontiff and him colluding with non-humans to win a war against the Empire. Little did we know, this move would echo across the past four-years and now Haense, which once partially utilized the Church as a political weapon against Oren, had the same thing happen to them. Including the hordes of unwashed, foul-smelling, Burning Bush worshipers Edvard, Ed, and Eddie destroying each respective empire (sarcasm). The whole idea was rooted in parody. To the point that I wore a Hunwald Pontiff skin which had Joker makeup on it. It was intended to be a non-malicious critique of the Church. It grew to encompass other memes, such as the Derfey Riots which caused the deconstruction of New Providence, and the Tomb of the Unknown Fleeper where multiple dead Derfeys were interred after dying. The intent of the posts in general was to both satirize Oren and Haense, and satirize the institutions representing them including big community figures like Church Pontiffs and Esterlen. My favorite in recent memory was some RP I had with Kujo on my Naztherak about a year ago.
