In the Year of 166 B.A

 

AS A NEW WAY OF LIFE AND FRESH CIRCUMSTANCES become more normal and easy for the denizens of Lotharia, we find ourselves able to properly process and understand all that has come to pass in the last decades. Loss, death and pain have been a constant, but with such comes a chance for something new, rebirth and love. From the ashes of destruction comes the PHOENIX OF REBUILDING, a sign of a fresh start and the beauty of a new world to walk upon. 

 

TO CONSECRATE AND ACCEPT THIS REBIRTH FOR WHAT IT IS, the Palatial Courts of Lotharia shall be hosting a three saint’s day long FESTIVAL OF THE PHOENIX to truly honour the journey that our people have been on. It shall take place at the end of the next Saint’s Week and invite all of Lotharia and her allies to partake in the festivities.

𑁍 H U N T  F O R  T H E  P A S T 𑁍

 

THE FIRST ACTIVITY WE SHALL UNDERGO IS A SHORT CEREMONY in which we shall witness the Royal Family speak to the past of our people, honouring our dead and our lost home. After this three others may request to speak on the same topic and reminisce on their time with the people of Lotharia. Once this is done, a brazier shall be lit atop the Lotharia Keep in honour of those that died for our safety and continued existence.

 

SUBSEQUENTLY, A SCAVENGER HUNT shall begin all over the keep where those who have gathered and stayed will complete riddles pertaining to our history and many other topics in order to find tokens that shall point you in the direction of the next clues. The first person to complete the scavenger hunt shall be gifted an item that holds some significance to the history of our people and placed as the safekeeper of such for their life.

𑁍 S T R E N G T H  O F  O U R  W I L L 𑁍

 

UPON THE SECOND SAINT’S DAY OF THE FESTIVAL, we shall gather in the military grounds for some games and tests of one’s might and power. This shall first begin with an axe throwing competition, where competitors will be invited to test their skills and launch hatchets at a target. The person with the highest points on the target will receive a special decorative axe for them to keep. 

 

IN ADDITION, A MELEE COMPETITION WILL TAKE PLACE AFTER THIS, where combatants will fight amongst themselves for glory and honour. It shall be held in the typical tournament structure and the winner of this competition shall gain the title of ‘GLADIADOR DE LOTHARIA’ which they shall hold in perpetuity until the time of the next competition at which point they shall have to defend the title once more.

𑁍 F I N A L  G O O D B Y E 𑁍

 

THE FINAL CELEBRATIONS SHALL BEGIN ON THE LAST SAINT’S DAY OF THE WEEK, returning to the brazier that was lit at the beginning of the festival. Alongside a priest the denizens will gather to mourn their old home, life and those that have died and with such the brazier shall be suffocated and the fire will die. Upon the completion of the fire’s death, the PRINCE OF LOTHARIA shall give a short speech on the topic of the new path the people have taken and the route to success. Everyone shall then light a torch which shall be thrown into the brazier, relighting it. 

 

TO LIGHTEN THE MOOD AFTER THIS, ALL SHALL RETURN TO THE PALATIAL BALLROOM FOR A BALL. Bards shall serenade all as they dance and enjoy the company of one another, drinks and food shall be handed out. A dress code has been established and all are invited to wear something that has historical ties to their family or Lotharia in order to fulfill the theme of rebirth and history. The person who is considered to fulfill such a code the best shall receive a gift that is yet to be determined.

LOTHARIA IS MADE OF A PEOPLE WHO SEEK TO CELEBRATE THEIR HISTORY ALONGSIDE THE NEW. The festivities seek to honour what was lost whilst ushering in their new life, culture and roles within the southern sands of the Horde.

 

ALL WHO CONSIDER THEMSELVES FRIENDS OR ALLIES OF THE HORDE OF MANY TRIBES and of Lotharia are invited to join in the celebration.

The Lotharian Princess-Royal, who had grown recluse since the Grand Duchy's settlement, was delivered the missive. She glared at the courier who had offered it, but after a few moments of reconsideration, Amadea let out a hefty sigh.
