Appearance:

Generally a dark, cold, subdued grey-blue metal.

Location:

Where Moz Strimoza is a patchwork abomination of a plane, dense and layered, it acts as a natural Cistern to stagnate inferis blood within, a substance as elemental as water to the point of replacing it -- the High Hells filled with flowing rivers and rain of blood -- which seeps through the scorching earth to coagulate deep in the rock and congeal into a powdery clot-like ore in veins throughout the underground. Mined and dredged by inferis slaves and refined by zar’kiel metallurgists, rokodra is the product of the furnaces of the High Hells shaped only by the tongues of malflame.

Harvesting:

See above process: Ankh Rokodra - Rokodra Forging. Alternative means of utilising rokodra are to be outlined in their respective lore pieces.

Raw Effect(s):

This material has the quality of ferrum but bears numerous unique qualities which thus makes it quite valuable to the zar’rokul who lord over the warbands they outfit with this metal; they do not give it up so easily.

Rokodra, once refined and crafted into solid metal, resists all heat. It is bizarrely chilled to the touch and can even cause skin to go numb if held or touched for longer than a minute for all but Inferi and Naztherak (T3 and up), to whom their native metal feels blood-warm and comforting to hold, affecting even those normally resistant or immune to the cold. This is only circumvented by the likes of wooden boards backing shields, or wooden grips on Rokodra blades which - whilst still always cold to the touch - will suffice in thwarting the numbing effects of this cursed metal.

Because rokodra is immune to the effects of heat it can withstand any amount of incineration and torching, including flame and heat conjured by lesser dragonkin and their heralds, unable to be torched into pieces or forged by a normal blacksmith. Instead, rokodra responds to malflame as though it were an intense fire, beings capable of casting superior forms of malflame can achieve heating and shaping, necessary for its forging into weapons, armor, and tools.

What makes rokodra metal so useful regarding inferni is that since it is borne of the inferis, blood turned steel, it persists with them through summoning. The great demon lords of the High Hells outfit their elite inferis with suits and armaments of rokodra which, when banished and summoned once again, come armed and ready to serve. So too may rokodra ‘activate’ through rakir inscriptions in Ilzakarn upon the metal, ridges seething and exuding fettered, light-warping exhaust colored after the malflame of the scribe as an auxiliary effect and is often used by the zar’rokul and other greater inferis to mark their legions for easy identification. This occurs when fresh inferis blood touches the metal or when malflame is present within a meter of the rokodra, however naztherak may will this coloring into existence too.

Lastly, rokodra has a unique property with inscribed rakir in that it may bind inferis spirits to its metal, creating effects appropriate to the class and type of the inferis used. MArts may be made to create malflame and infernal-bound weapons, armor, or tools of any creative variety.

Redlines:

-Rokodra items require ST signing.

-Rokodra will numb the body to the point of uselessness after one minute of physical touch. In this regard Rokodra is useless without a degree of separation from wood or other solid materials, making it far too restrictive to be worn as armour to all but Inferi and Naztherak.
-The transition from Brimstone to Rokodra via the scorching mix of Rakir within a transmutation pentacle does not literally cause newly forged Rokodra to retain a granular structure as the Brimstone before it; when new Rokodra is formed it will cling onto and around surfaces and moulds as solid metallic plating or shapes as intended by the user, so long as said surfaces are sufficiently dusted with the aforementioned Brimstone before the ritual's conclusion.
-Rokodra has the same strength, weight and durability as iron.

-Rokodra may be forged by beings that can have access to rakir without the need for an accepted alchemy FA.

-Rokodra items will melt if met with 3 emotes of malflame exposure. Each hit of malflame must be within 2 emotes of the last or it begin cool down and return to normal.
-Rokodra obtained using the aforementioned ‘Ankh Rokodra - Rokodra Forging’ process will require rakir to fuel the faux forge, which will make preexisting rokodra malleable for reshaping at the expenditure of one count of rakir, or can transmute brimstone into rokodra, exchanged at the following rates:
-One count of rakir with proportional brimstone will create sufficient rokodra for a single knife, hand tool, three bolts/arrows or similarly sized object.
-Two counts of rakir with proportional brimstone will create sufficient rokodra for a single shortsword, hatchet, goblet or similarly sized object.
-Three counts of rakir with proportional brimstone will create sufficient rokodra for any single one handed weapon, helmet, set of gauntlets or similarly sized object.
-Four counts of rakir with proportional brimstone will create sufficient rokodra for any single two handed weapon, fullbody mail or similarly sized objects.
-Five counts of rakir with proportional brimstone will create sufficient rokodra for any single suit of armour, tower shield or similarly sized objects.

- Rakir is required to create malflame strong enough to turn brimstone into rokodra. Simply casting a spell will not convert it into such.
- Malflame cast may still melt Rokodra that is already made and is described under Rokodra.

Endless war and fire has been razing the immolated planes of Moz Strimoza since its genesis. A realm so brutal that rivers of blood cut through its blazing landscape and ichor rain pours in gallons from the black clouds that loom above. It is thus that beneath those cracked planes Rokodra festered, a manifestation of pure unbridled bloodshed, able to be wrought into the hallowed Infernal steel.

Rokodra is a tier 4 material and its raw form is represented by netherite scraps.

Rokodra Ore (raw form)

Rokodra is a product formed from the endless seas of maleus-infused demon blood compressed within the mounds of brimstone that make up Moz Strimoza’s layers. It is thus that raw Rokodra ore can only be found naturally within the High Hells. Its raw form may therefore exclusively be obtained through ST events, there are however other, occult manners of obtaining this hallowed metal.

Unrefined, raw Rokodra is a dark-blue hued, brittle rock, shaped by the cracks in the ever-shifting planes of the High Hells through which blood used to flow and eventually congeal to form the veins of ore. The metal notably is chilled to the touch, so cold in fact it would numb the unprotected hand that tries to pick it up. Additionally, the ore appears to be completely impervious to any flame safe for malflame, allowing it to withstand the scorching fires and heat of its natural environment.

Redlines:

-Raw Rokodra ore is only found in Moz Strimoza.

-Raw Rokodra must be ST signed and distributed under their discretion.

-One cannot transport Rokodra ore without proper protection, its intense chill would numb bare hands, forcing them to drop it.

-Inferi or Naztherak touching it with their brand would be unaffected by the intense cold.

Harvesting

It is within the ever-fracturing mountains of Moz Strimoza that the stagnated veins of hardened, raw Rokodra are revealed to the surface. The harvesting of raw rokodra is an immensely dangerous procedure, presuming you even find your way to an exposed vein within the cataclysmic landscape of the High Hells, for it is within these ever-shifting mountain ranges that magma and flame spew forth from Moz Strimoza’s deepest bowels.

raw Rokodra can be found within the tectonic cracks of Moz Strimoza’s crust where its brittle form may reveal itself to the surface. If struck hard enough, this ore will shatter into powdery gravel, thus must be carefully extracted by breaking the rock surrounding it. Transport of the Rokodra by non-Inferi would have to be done through special means as the intense chill resides even within its raw form.

Although mining the ore is fairly straightforward, the real dangers of harvesting Rokodra is the plane within which it resides. Titanic bodies of jagged rock may slide and grind as it deems, giving way for geysers of magma and waves of fire. Torrents of bleeding rain and crimson lightning may ravage the wasteland and naturally the innumerous Inferis roam the stitched planes. These are but some of the frequently occurring disasters, with remnants of every conquered plane sewn together the only certainty is Chaos.

Redlines:

-Harvesting raw Rokodra from Moz Strimoza must be overseen by ST as it takes place in another realm.

-Raw Rokodra serves as part of world lore to be used in ST events, thus ST are not obligated to perform events for harvesting Rokodra, and harvesting such is fully under ST discretion if allowed at all.

-Harvesting of Rokodra is immensely dangerous due to the terrain and realm where it resides. If sought for unprepared and without proper precautions it could swiftly result in death.

-Knowledge on raw Rokodra (Where the ore generally resides) is not well-known, not even to Inferi . It must be taught by another, or learned through repeated experience.

Ankh Rokodra - Rokodra forging

Ankh Rokodra is the process of forging rokodra, a practice common between strimozan warlords and false Princes to fit their legions and courts with hellish plating and accursed weaponry. It is an unholy process utilizing the concentrated measures of warped soul essence produced by infernal creatures called Rakir.

It is using this method that rokodra is forged, utilizing malflame by adding Rakir to fuel its flame unto greater heights allowing it to anneal the infernal metal/ore for reshaping or smithing at a nearby anvil. Rokodra is gained in this exchange when the brimstone is added to the malflame, allowing Inferi and cultists to procure this metal without needing to venture into the calamitous bowels of Moz Strimoza to obtain its raw form. Additionally through a rarely known practice, some mortals may even be able to produce a temporary faux-hellflame which would allow them to smith the Infernal steel without the help of an Inferi or Naztherak by means of adding Rakir to a forge fire.

Raw ore straight from the High Hells may simply be molten down and refined using regular malflame without the need for additional Rakir to fuel the flames.

The amount of Rakir required to fuel the malflame differs depending on the amount of Rokodra one wishes to temper due to the amount of time the malflame must remain empowered to immolate the material.

Every [1] count of Rakir expended converts to [1] ingot's worth of Rokodra; forging follows all ratios and scaling as stated within the Material Compendium lorepiece.

The process of Ankh rokodra must be taught by another who has been taught the process.

Redlines:

-Rokodra may be forged and reshaped by entities that can produce and control rakir naturally (such as Naztherak). Likewise, if someone has access to rakir they may create Rokodra if properly taught.

- Given that Rokodra is made from the invocation of Malflame or Rakir rather than an ST Material Ore, the Material Compendium values do not apply bar the 1/2 return rate for smelting down Rokodra.

-The amount of Rakir required for larger objects falls under the discretion of ST.

- Malflame cast may still melt Rokodra that is already refined and is described under Rokodra (Refined Form).

-Rakir is required to create malflame strong enough to turn brimstone into rokodra. Simply casting a spell will not convert it into such.

-The transition from Brimstone to Rokodra via the scorching mix of Rakir does not literally cause newly forged Rokodra to retain a granular structure as the Brimstone before it; when new Rokodra is formed it will cling onto and around surfaces and moulds as solid metallic plating or shapes as intended by the user.

-Brimstone, as outlined in Infernal Alchemy, while not exactly the same, is the Lotc equivalent of sulfur and may be harvested freeform at volcanoes. It does not require a signature or item to represent it.

-The process of Rokodra forging may be taught to anyone, regardless if they have an alchemy FA or not.

A refined ingot of Rokodra

Rokodra (Refined Form)

A manifestation of the eternal war, refined by its bleeding spoils as it is donned by Infernal fiends to continue the cycle of bloodshed forevermore. This blasphemous metal is favoured by the ilk of Moz Strimoza and scavenged for in unholy reverence by the mortal cultist. This material, generally a dark, cold, subdued grey-blue metal bears numerous unique qualities which thus makes it quite valuable to the zar’rokul who lord over the warbands they outfit with this metal; they do not give it up so easily.

General Redlines:

-Rokodra items require ST signing.

-Rokodra is immune to the effects of heat, it can withstand any amount of incineration and torching, including flame and heat conjured by lesser dragonkin and their heralds.

-Rokodra will numb the body to the point of uselessness after one minute of physical touch, this includes entities completely resistant to cold temperatures. In this regard Rokodra is useless without a degree of separation from wood or other solid materials, making it far too restrictive to be worn as armour to all but Inferi and Naztherak.

-Rokodra has the same strength, weight and durability as iron.

-Rokodra items will melt if met with 3 emotes of malflame exposure. Each hit of malflame must be within 2 emotes of the last or it begins to cool down and return to normal.

What makes rokodra metal so useful regarding Naztherak is that since it is borne of the inferis, blood turned steel, it persists with them through summoning. The great demon lords of the High Hells outfit their elite inferis with suits and armaments of rokodra which, when banished and summoned once again, come armed and ready to serve.

Should an Inferi die with any Rokodra items on their person, those items will disintegrate into ash alongside their owner’s remains and return along with them as they reconstitute their form.

Redlines:

-This effect does not make items canonically soulbound, items of rokodra may still be stolen/taken off of their person. Additionally, rokodra items may still be taken after slaying an Inferi.

-Inferi disintegrate [3] emotes after death; any items must be taken before then.

Additionally, rokodra may ‘activate’ through Rakir inscriptions in Ilzakarn upon the metal, ridges seething and exuding fettered, light-warping exhaust colored after the malflame of the scribe as an auxiliary effect and is often used by the zar’rokul and other greater inferis to mark their legions for easy identification. This occurs when fresh Inferi blood touches the metal or when malflame is present within a meter of the rokodra, however Naztherak may will this coloring into existence too.

Through this method of inscription, Inferi may also bind their spirit to the metal, by inscribing their true name in Ilzakarn with Rakir upon the steel. Whilst lesser Inferi may manifest minor effects through this method, greater demons such as Zar’kiel have been known to create powerful weapons and relics using this manner of inscription. MArts may be made to create infernal-bound weapons, armor, or tools of any creative variety.

Redlines:

-Light through this effect cannot blind or impair vision, it may at most light up a small area surrounding the item.

-Marts created using this method should be used for minor effects and aesthetics only.

Purpose

This piece serves to give Rokodra a proper forum page like any other material on the server allowing for easier reference without distractions, it mostly copies the already existing lore of Infernal Alchemy and the original piece from Zarsies while taking the opportunity to reformat and define some of the more ambiguous parts of the lore granting clear redlines. This piece also allows easier implementation for future amendments and lore referral.

Well, the formatting of how much rakir smiths how much rokodra smiths how many items doesn't really follow the material compendium, which outlines that an ingot of something makes eight arrows, three ingots is a tower shield, and a set of armor would ultimately cost somewhere close to fifteen ingots. Other than that, it's a sensible lore page.

I'm just following the currently accepted lore, though it may be because Rokodra towershields are pretty effective at what Rokodra does, protecting against fire, whilst still being able to be carried by non-Inferi as opposed to armour. Perhaps it is extra expensive because of that reason.

I think this is cooked bc “infernal alchemy rokodra is fine stop fixing nonexistent problems” but hope this passes or something else so the naz metal is not 3 paragraphs

should prob clarify that Dragaar/Drakaar and Dragon/Drake flame (not the lesser dragonkin for those that are going to mald reading this) lowkey ignores rokodra and melts it anyway so demon players don't crash out when they inevitably get told that in an event (again)

Otherwise

it feels weird to write event rules in player lore

This Lore has been accepted. Moved to Implemented Lore, it will be sorted to it's appropriate category soon. Please note that if this is playable lore, such as a magic or CA, you will need to write a guide for this piece. You will be contacted regarding the guide (or implementation if it isn’t needed) shortly.
