I quite like this formatting, and I now wish to make a Kha Wraith. I also think the flavour brings some newer life to a now somewhat stale topic, so fingers crossed it’s approved.

Not personally a fan of Necromancy, but this actually seems promising. That and I'm glad it's less restrictive in regard to who can learn it.

Over [3] emotes, either [2] Necromancers or [1] Wraith may prepare a container cast in bones, like a vial with bone rings or a small box with bone carvings, and put it in front of their crippled victim to shift the victim’s life force into the container, leaving the victim with a flowing, blackened scar and without memories but only vague nightmares of the occurrence, creating a vial of Liquid Lifeforce from this, which must be [ST] Approved.

what exactly is the purpose of the memory wipe spell? I've disliked this "memory erasure" effect for upwards of 5 years now because more often than not how I've seen this unfold RPly as someone who has only ever been on the receiving end of necromancy is

>someone stumbles into a city babbling about how they were attacked
>"who attacked you"
>"I dont remember"
>end scene and victim gets healed

to put it more bluntly it seems to almost always provide no RP for anyone but the attacking necromancers. if it's intended purpose is to negate murderhoboing while you do pseudo bandit RP it's not achieving that purpose because it's functionally the same as just killing the person anyway because both have the same exact memory erasure rules in practice

This is already in the current lore, mysticism, and other similar stuff(heck, even Seer has something similar). I agree with you, it's like killing, but not, and it's pretty boring.  I wouldn't say it's a new thing or a fostering issue. Or, well, it wasn't an issue until people started to spam it. However, it's present in many things.

Just giving my 2 cents on it!!! Whether it changes or not, it isn't a big issue to me since I am not a fan of such similar mechanics either

This is an EXTREMELY good point to bring up, and something that in retrospect that we don't want to promote in this piece, as like you just said its murderhoboing with extra steps and no consequence. I'm going to talk w/ Aehkaj to alter this to be more similar to inferi/zar'akal sapping wherein it drains and weakens them, but doesn't outright purge their memories- as fooldude said our original idea was like "oh this exists in lore already" but memory wipe spells are definetly somewhat cheese, so we'll change this to be moreso like nightmare-inducing and all.

ty for the commented advice!

We had to leave some negative sounding things in to get people to comment more for rep

(as pallo said it was a dum dum oversight and we're fixing it :3)
