Won-In (Korean) POTENTIAL family members needed!

Hey guys! Metamancy here.

I'm looking to do some cool things within the Won-In (the LOTC equivalent of Korean) community on Azuras; specifically within my character, An Cheong-Won's, family, the An clan.

The An clan is one of the most respected; albeit not noble; families within a very small village in Southern Won. The entire village is quite poor and suffers from droughts, sickness and famine. Cheong-Won's two brothers were sent off to war against Oyashima, and both fell in battle - or so they thought. I would like to explore the possibility of either one or two of those brothers having survived and, of course, played by a player, hence the recruitment post!

The people of the village put together enough money to buy a ship to send the remaining eldest child of the An family, Cheong-Won, to Aevos in search of a better life, leaving Cheong-Won's mother, father and little sister alone. Cheong-Won vows to return the favor and one day return to their village with the power to make their village prosperous with her shamanism and (hopefully) fortune she's gathered over the years in Aevos and Azuras.

While I would like to keep the mother and father NPCs, I am also interested in exploring the possibility of Cheong-Won's little sister coming to Azuras. 

None of these three characters - the two brothers and the sister - are necessary and I do not necessarily need all three slots filled. However, if you are interested in claiming one of these characters, here are brief character descriptions below!

 

-Eldest brother - name undecided. A fiercely loyal and protective man with impressive martial prowess. Chonwon nationalist - racist towards Hou-Zi even more than Cheong-Won (if you've seen Cheong-Won interact with Hou-Zi, you know). Age between 35-40. Was the man of the house in the An family after their father fell sick, though has disappeared for a long while following the Won army's defeat against Oyashima.

 

- Second eldest brother - name also undecided. Much more of the scholarly type than the eldest brother, never wanted to go to war but was conscripted. He is scared of almost everything that could put his or his family's life in danger. Age between 32-37. Planned to take the gwageo (a test in Won that decided who got to work in the King's court) and work in the royal palace one day, but his dreams were cut short. Also disappeared for a long while, if not dead. 

 

- Youngest sister - name also undecided. A scared and kind girl, hiding behind the mask of a pretty little princess. The only one in the family who can match Cheong-Won's energy, she was absolutely heartbroken when Cheong-Won left and their two brothers were pronounced dead. There is no concrete story on why she would come to Azuras just yet - that's something we can work out together. Age between 27-32. 

 

I am looking for players who can be ACTIVE on these characters and are confident that they can provide high-quality roleplay. If you'd be interested in getting involved with the Kurai-Kuni community, learning more about Korean culture and building a truly engaging family storyline, hmu and we can talk about you claiming any one of these characters! Skins will be provided, unless you want to make your own (as I am admittedly not the best skinner.) 

The Won-In community is growing by the day, and this is a great way to get involved with an amazing, small community! We can build a great story together... if you'd be interested.
