why are you defending a shitty system? why are you defending a stupid stack of resources that have nothing to do with anything but memes? The devs themselves said Gold is ass, why have it?!

the devs also said they'd intended to give gold tiles next to no upkeep so they can expand quickly. that seems way better than coal. or copper. or even iron, frankly. everything is pointless compared to horses/ranching tiles, the only ones that actually matter, but low upkeep is pretty big.

blame your playerbase for picking tiles you don't like instead of blaming people for those tiles existing.

this is one of the two things devs have actually put thought into, it's really not that big of a problem. "why does the region historically associated with gold have gold in it?" gee, i don't know. genuinely you're gonna have to ask a higher being, because i don't think the govt is the one who put the gold under mesas and deserts.

do you not find it culturally insensitive and even outright discriminatory to refer to the gold allotted region as zion?

Ah yes, let me change my nations historical cultural values, because a metaplaying admin who barely logs on decides to do a funny meme.

interesting how commonly deserts are also rich in materials yet that was completely ******* ignored last map?

stop trying to bait yourself into thinking this system is fine. Its not. Its extremely flawed and idiotic. Why would anyone with an actual capeable thinking mind, believe that a system revolved around a SINGULAR, un-expanding MAP, that is meant to last 2-3+ years, should have expensive tiles, with unchanging resources? Nevermind, a particular region explicitly designed to just be full of gold. You're basically cutting off apart of the map. Especially when you're making tiles so ******* expensive.

and why shouldn't i blame the head member of tech-team and second in command to the server, for having a faulty system that nation leaders have consistently complained about?

oh cool, its a national park. my bad. lets just forget the erasure of native culture and the inherent racialism of mormon exclusivity. it was literally called by its native name until your white people voted it was too hard to pronounce. and so you chose a name that appropriates the holiest hill of israel, and happen to place gold there but its fine because 'oh there's a national park' as if you are not thinly veiling your antisemitism.

I can't tell if this is bait or not but I'm going to reply anyway. Although you are absolutely right about that being a bad name in real life, we didn't chose it, you can bring up your qualms with the US government for that. And beyond that, we didn't use that name, the area is named 'Mesa' for the tiles - or 'Godsrend Canyon' in the maplore ... we're not calling it Zion, that was just the inspiration for the area. Overall, all non-fantasy areas were inspired by some real-life landscape, and we tried to avoid real-life names with the exception of Mediterranean since that doubles as a name and an adjective, we couldn't think of another name for it besides, well, Mediterranean. And we didn't place gold in the Mesa because of the name of the real-life inspiration either, it was placed there because  in real life... there is gold in Utah, see the Utah gold rush for further reading. Other areas had resources concentrated based off their real life location inspirations - coal in the highlands, fertile in the plains, copper in the black forest, iron in the taiga, and gems under the mountains. The gold had to go somewhere, and the areas based on the western US - Mesa and Geyserlands, were the best fit.

Your making it so that we cant make Iron Blocks or Gold Blocks??? Bruh, you know how much space that'll take...

I have the same exact concerns. Iron and gold are extremely plentiful resources, especially iron being found in all nation mines along with coal. Having to store iron ingots will take up a lot more space than compressing it into iron blocks and decompressing them when needed. I personally did that with my iron and gold because I had a lot of both resources before the end of Aevos and I was able to contain it in one double chest.

It's a bit of a double-edged sword, as we wanted the materials to be available in pre-build, and in LC generally, though that would raise concerns about people using LC to get resources for gear. This restriction has already been in place since the launch of Aevos for some materials such as coal and copper, we're standardizing it across the board now so these blocks can be used in LC.

There is a lot of feedback response to the community in this post. 😭

I still can't believe after all the feedback given by the players, we are still going through with the grinding...

How about you specify the feedback since people complain about everything without taking a second to offer constructive feedback or suggestions.

Also the Minecraft team created the vanilla Minecraft mesa biome using Zion national park as inspiration for the base game. If you got beef with the name and Zion in general just boycott Minecraft all together.

People always gatta complain.

if you’ve got criticisms about the patch notes those are welcome. If you’ve got suggestions for systematic changes those are welcome. Complaining gets you no where.

Also if you’ve got beef with the map take it up with me because I painted it, and helped chose the biome choices and palettes. If you’ve got the time to beef with a name of a location that happens to be one of the most iconic representations of a naturally occurring biome, then you can go clean your room.

If you’re complaining about grinding, I wish you grinded more. I wish your food expiration was harsher, I wish resource island didn’t exist. There’s a difference between grinding and playing the game. People complain about the lack of mechanics but also vote on systems that remove mechanics from the server in favor of making your lives more convenient. Half the problems that exist today did not exist 10 years ago and are self-inflicted by an obnoxious minority of the server.

The feedback was already specified in different threads, and not just by me.

I understand that a person from your nation made the food plugin, so you need to defend it with all the fervor in your heart, but all of the hostility I saw coming from x community (not adding that one individual who was doxxing a minor) It doesn't make me understand your point, and if anything. It makes me more against it.

"Heh, you people are always complaining. Never doing constructive feedback." More like you take offense on blunt feedback, or just normal feedback on the 3-4 different post people made about this.

But if you think this reaction is less insane than mine. You tell me, I don't wish you more of what you would not like to go through. There was no real mechanic regarding food decaying or leather farming; it was quite literally added. It's not part of the server, nor Minecraft, but if you do want to continue standing on this route and actually attack people who don't want to do what they did not vote for, okay!

Btw, I don't mind the map. I think the map looks good, and you did a good job with it.
