Someone from my nation. There’s a reason you don’t know who I am. I am likely on of the most unbiased people on the server, particularly because I don’t roleplay on the server anymore. Because it’s not fun anymore, roleplay is stale, and I argue about systems with staff all the time.

I haven’t played a dwarf in like 9 years.

What I do know, is a time when the server was actually fun. And if it were anything close to it I’d probably roleplay, or play on the server again.

Do I think leather farming is a boring mechanic, yes. Do I think a lot of the systems, both in moderation and technical/gameplay portion of the server are bad? Yes.

Do I think that food expiration is necessary? Yes. There’s a reason why the plugin is called FoodCore, because it’s a first step in a multifaceted solution.

Do I actually think food expiration will accomplish anything? No, and that’s not because of the fact that it’s inherently food expiration, but because the expiration timers are too lenient, and even if they were harsher the player base would not have noticed food expiration anyways.

I guess we agree to disagree. I don't think it's the solution if the majority don't want to have anything to do with it.

Certainly, releasing a plugin like that isn't going to be fun at all. It's Minecraft food, not that deep. It had never been an issue. If instead, only PvP food was targeted or food made through a profession/cooking plugin, that would have been better.

But you can't expect people to like something they never wanted in the first place. There had been 0 communication about it, and with the bags, as good as they are. It's going to defeat the purpose of it all, so everything is just the same, but with extra, slightly annoying steps.

Nor can you think people will go past what they see "foodcore from." A plugin, which was forcefully implemented, and they don't know what will come next with it BECAUSE there had been no heads-up for the community. Everything would be better if shit were optional, rather than forcing peeps into x thing, but 🤷‍♂️

Spoiler

P.S. Once again the little guys suffer because more  enforced stuff is put on nations.

I don’t care for the argument, just read this while scrolling through all of it. I just wanted to comment that this is a terrible way to underline your argument, since it shows your disconnect from the actual server and makes most of your opinions on current systems irrelevant.

In general I don’t think players who don’t actually play should have much of an input, though I do really like what you did with the map. I’m just a hater of oldheads who say ‘everything sucks’ all the time, because they exist in literally every online community ever.

As for your actual arguments I can’t say if they’re valid or not because I only skimmed over this entire thread and frankly care very little (I’m very disconnected too from a lot of mechanical systems)

Cant make points like these if you don’t play the actual server, go peep the multiple foodcore threads that say theres a clear disconnect between the people who make these decisions and the community and you’re a prime example and proving our points

You cant say “Volkswagons are so ass!!” If you actually never driven one you just look like an idiot. Just throw in the towel unc

oh cool, its a national park. my bad. lets just forget the erasure of native culture and the inherent racialism of mormon exclusivity. it was literally called by its native name until your white people voted it was too hard to pronounce. and so you chose a name that appropriates the holiest hill of israel, and happen to place gold there but its fine because 'oh there's a national park' as if you are not thinly veiling your antisemitism.

god forbid somebody calls a park by it's most commonly used name. such a non issue man

Then what would be the point of food expiry if vanilla food wasn't targeted along with everything else? I would argue that defeats the purpose more than the extremely lenient timers.

You are right but also wrong in some ways. Most food will not last longer than a week before expiry (aka people eating it) so no extra annoying step really required, unless you want that extra inventory space (or two extra if you are smart). Also to be fair there was a poll Aesopian had  awhile back that did include food expiry. Understandable you forgot though just not 0 communication.

This one is kinda stupid for two reasons. First one is that this server is not run by a democracy so to act like it is, is just silly. As for everything being better if stuff was optional I think that is also stupid. Because so many things can be optional but are not for good reason. Conflict isn't optional because you will encounter robbers, murderers, darkspawn, and etc. Age technically isn't optional either as you will get older with time (though doesn't show up for anyone that isn't a human). You also can't just make anything new optional. Food will affect all players because food is necessary for every living thing to survive. Food expiry is just not something ment to be optional as a concept, especially if it is to be expanded upon.

What lol. I'm lost, forcing people to eat food because eating food is necessary. If that's for you, it's a sound point over Minecraft roleplay. Good for you, buddy. I am not sure how to break a wall like that. I don't want to go in depth and give you a detailed response; I don't see any point in progressing with this.

Got me like this, you win:

Care to actually back up what you are saying? Refute my words with something more than "Bro this has to be an L take"
