OPENING THE ELECTIONS

It is the honour of the office of the Grand-Speaker to announce the opening of elections for the positions of Lord-Maire and two Garmont Representatives.

 

These roles will have a seat on the Garmont Assembly, allowing for the voice of the common man of Petra to be represented.

 

LORD-MAIRE

The duties of The Lord-Maire include representing the residents of Riviènse upon the Garmont, as well as the right to enact city laws.

 

Candidates for Lord-Maire must have been a citizen of the Commonwealth for at least 5 years, be in good standing with both the Catherinian Code and the Canonist Church, and be at least 18 years old.

 

GARMONT REPRESENTATIVE

Two representatives, titled the First and Second People’s Seat are to be elected from the general populace of the Commonwealth to serve the will of the people.

 

1. Candidates must be at least 16 years old, 

2. In good standing with Commonwealth Law

3. Citizens of the Commonwealth,

4. Possess thorough knowledge of the Catherinian Code.

 

DEBATES

Debates between candidates will be hosted after the completion of registration, candidates however may begin to campaign right away.

 

VOTING

The voting for candidates shall be opened after debates are completed, with the office of the Grand Speaker intending to have this electoral process be complete within the year. Exact dates will be given with a following missive when the debate times are determined.

 

The voting shall be done through private ballots with voters able to rank their candidates by preference for a more democratic and representative outcome.
