[Amendment] Make Men Fear Kelpie Again

Old:

Spoiler

Redlines

-Only women can be affected by this charm

-Women won't be able to draw themselves out of the trance that the Kelpie puts them in, on their own.

New:

Spoiler

Redlines

-Descendants of any gender and age can be affected by this charm

-Descendants are unable to, on their own, draw themselves from the trance the Kelpie places them under.

-A Kelpie cannot place additional people under a trance if that Kelpie is already actively charming one or more people.

Reason:

Spoiler

Kelpies in irl mythology do not have gender-specific victims.

Needless gender specific redline was needless.

Added a redline to specify a Kelpie cannot infinitely entrance the people coming to rescue the original victim(s).

dk if this is of much relevance to this, but for Aevos (and now azuras) i wrote the solar stallion which is a reskinned kelpie but it affects men.

maybe you want to change both so both creatures affect both genders.

The fact kelpie cannot be tamed under any circumstances and solar stallions can leaves me unwilling to change the latter myself. The dichotomy falls flat when one creature is a strict antagonist and the other isn't, for me personally at least. No hate intentioned, fire ponies stay winning.

If Kelpie could be tamed in the same way solar stallions could, I think the dichotomy and gender distinctions would be cool. But I don't think Kelpie should be tamed due to the mythology surrounding their predatory nature. I think that's the cool thing ab them

Yeah, lots of changes happened to the submitted lore during writing of the beastiaries. it wasn't originally that they were meant to be ridable. It was sometime early last map when i heard "hyspians are riding solar stallions" i was like wtf. i confirmed with st management if they were meant to be ridable and they said yeah. I think it didn't matter since mechanically they were just horses you cannot use them in crp. I think there was a bigger focus on pets / mounts for aevos.

funnily enough there is a ridable water horse from aevos on azuras as well, the hippocampus. this just further leaves the kelpie in an odd position. I dont think the beastiaries are given much attention.

I gave a kelpie an RPG to help with this problem so everyone equally explodes

This could also be solved by letting me tame a kelpie. Just saying whoever does horse lore

This lore has been denied.

This was taken to vote and PASSED- but I only now just realized that Kelpies are currently a SHELVED and outdated piece of worldlore which are currently not usable :(
