Papa Rock 2400 Rep Farm Share Posted December 30, 2025 The Battle Under The Mountain The Gathering The Armies of Hadrian I gathered before the gates of the formidable city Kal’Baraz with a thousand men, intent on pillaging and ransacking the city. To oppose them? The Legion of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and the Dwarven people. Yet, they were not alone. Hearing word of Hadrian’s intent, the Horde of Many Tribes and its numerous vassals gathered their host to aid the Dwarves of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan in their struggle. Dwarves, Orcs, Men and Elves rallied under the banner of the ALLIANCE OF THE FOUR BROTHERS to oppose Hadrian’s force, meeting them with five hundred soldiers. Dungrimm’s Legion swiftly got to work as the reinforcements arrived, supplying the warriors with powerful weapons and formidable armor. Donned in their uniforms and banners, they served as an impenetrable shield of Imperial opposition. The forces of the Alliance lay in waiting as the Empire of Man finally reached the city. They were prepared, trained and ready for what marched upon their lands. An army of many peoples and many faces, yet united in common opposition to the Empire of Man. The Battle The sound of arrows filled the air as the hosts made contact. The Imperials lied in waiting, harassing the Dwarven city with their volleys with the intent of picking off the vulnerable, though they earned little success in this regard as their shots were met with the hardiness of dwarf steel. The Alliance, under the command of Orcish Rex, Torosh’Mak, the Dwarven Grand King Ulfar Starbreaker, and numerous professional Officers led sorties outside the walls. The battle was at a gridlock, until Geordie Brawm of the Alliance decided to break it. Under his command, he led half of the Alliance army to the arena, where a secret gate was maintained. During this opportunity, a skilled Musin Ranger by the name of Buttons locked their primal gaze upon straying imperial soldiers and offered them little room for error, as arrows were let loose, ending enemy lives. The plan was set, however, bait was required. The Alliance grew bolder in their sorties, killing Imperial stragglers and sending them to the very edge of the cavern. The Empire, seeing opportunity, sent forth its entire host into the Alliance army, and as they did, the Alliance tactically re-positioned back into the arena. The Imperial vanguard pushed on.. And then… SLAM! Barundin Goldhand from the operational control-room of his gatehouse, shut the secret gate to the arena. Numerous Imperial soldiers were cut off and slain, unable to reach their comrades. They were utterly helpless and defeated not only by the brawn of the Alliance, but also by the intelligence of the dwarven engineers. Hadrian and the Empire recoiled, knowing that the city would not fall, he finally ordered a retreat, deeming the assault hopeless. The Alliance breathed a sigh of relief, before the cheers began. The Empire suffered graver losses than the Alliance did, and the Dwarven stronghold was secure once more. The Alliance stood with nothing but a scratch upon their armor, the mushroom fields of Kal’Baraz fertilized by the corpses of dead Imperial soldiers. It was only through the combined might of the Dwarven, Orcish, Elven, and Brawm officers that the battle was won. Every soldier played his or her part, and in their Unity, the Empire was sent back to THEIR city. Unity held its ground in the face of annihilation. Unity strengthened its resolve in the face of fear. Unity persevered. Spoiler

Riot 743 Share Posted December 30, 2025 (edited) His gaze fixed on a single figure moving behind banners and steel — Hadrian the Mad. Smoke drifted. Orders were shouted. None of it mattered. Dorin breathed once, slow and measured, and loosed his shot. It struck true. He adjusted, fired again. True again. Each bolt forced the king’s guards tighter, each impact stealing ground, stealing confidence. (16 Shots and maybe one egg hit the Mad king in the video) There was no rage in Dorin’s face. Only resolve. Stone does not hurry — it pressures. Hadrian faltered. The line bent. And then, under the weight of relentless fire, the mad king was forced to withdraw, pulled back by men who suddenly understood they were no longer advancing — they were surviving. Urguan still stood. Later, when the field had quieted and the missive was finally placed in his hands, Dorin read it without expression. Retreat. Repositioning. Tactical withdrawal. He exhaled through his nose, a sound halfway between a breath and a chuckle, and folded the parchment with care. Not mockery — satisfaction. “They came for Urguan,” he murmured, pride settling heavy and warm in his chest. “And they left.” No boasting followed. No need for words carried on the wind. The stone beneath his boots had done what it always did — endured. And he had stood with it, shot after shot, until even a mad king learned what pressure feels like. Dorin tucked the missive away. Let history write it however it wished. Urguan had not fallen. Edited December 31, 2025 by Riot
ArgentEra 459 Share Posted December 30, 2025 (edited) The musin king smiled as one of his scouts hands him the missive. "More news, sir. The dwarves won." "Urguan stands proud this day." The grey mouse said with a nod, reading over the parchment, thumb tracking the lines, "Fine work Buttons." He said as he read the mousefolk's name, "Musin would beh proud." fizzyquack 566 Share Posted December 30, 2025 "The Imperium does ne have long to live... How super duper sad..." The 'aheral would say, giggling. She would then begin plucking the dead Imperials teeth out... One by one, then proceeding to slice off the hands of the various dead to get those decorative finger bones and rat food. When she was done, she would put them all in a sack. "Hadrian... High Keeper, King of Norland... Hah... Your days are numbered... Bye bye friends..." She would say with a loud cackle, loud enough for those by the gates of Urguan to hear. She would then begin happily skipping off!

TrisTheWarrior 59 Share Posted December 30, 2025 A young snow elven bard finally let his bow down, spear fallen as the enemy fled into the darkness of the caves. - And away from his home. - How amazing it truly was, the power of united people, standing against quite literally half the world. . . "Through Fire and Stone. - Through Steel and Smoke. Grab a spear and move. - For we fight for future! Grab a bow and shoot. - For we fight to prevail! May the arrow fall. - May the weapon pierce the flesh! Fight till you can't! - For the opportunity we take!" His voice yelled into the caverns as he connected to his magic. - The loudness of Bardmancy making it even louder without breaking the tune. - Amazing of a fight for sure!
